The owner, Lou and his employees,go the extra mile in full service of vehicles. They have a clean, friendly, modern and professional looking showroom. Iam a high milage driver and my car keeps me in business. Lou and his employees listen to me, about what it is I think needs to be done. Then they accurately diagnose and explain to me what the real issue is and how to repair it. They pro-actively let me know what might need to be done in the future, the costs, etc., to keep the car in tip top condition. So I'm not surprised about unexpected repairs and maintence. I have a 2003 Toyota Camery with over 161,000 miles on it. Modern Auto is a big part of the reason why I still drive this car. Also, any person I've referred to Modern Auto is handled with the same fair, honest, and respectful approach to car maintence and repair that I have been. Most referrals come back and thank me for giving them Modern Auto's name, especailly young, single, and female customers. That makes me look good to my clients and friends too. Every time I explain a problem, I'm treated as if I know nothing about cars. My dad raced. I grew up around cars and took my first car apart as a child. I know a little about them. I get the feeling when I'm explaining a problem though that they just want to pat me on the head and hand me a lolly pop. After more than a thousand dollars on the last repair and a comment that I didn't know what the problem was they wanted to try something else first, I still have the problem and it is what I said it was to begin with. I would never advise a woman to go here. They will do unnecessary repairs and charge you more than the industry standard. Modern Tire has alway been a place I turn to when my car needs servicing. I like the fact that the front line people have been there for years and know who I am. Also, the company is in my neighborhood so it is convenient to my location. They are also willing to bring me home if my service will take a while and then come pick me up when the work is finished. I have been using Modern Auto Care for at least 15 years. I first started using them many years ago when they were called Modern Tire. I was director of transportation for the Eden Prairie school district and we ordered our tires from them. They were a very honest, good group of people. At the time, I had a mechanic at another shop, closer to where I was working, and when that mechanic left and went over to Modern Tire, I followed him. I have continued to use Modern Auto over the years because not only are they marvelous, warm, and friendly people, but they go extra miles to make sure everything is done right for your car and that it is done to your satisfaction. I have had no problem with them whatsoever. The owner, Lou, understands everything that goes on in the shop. I even asked them for a recommendation on what kind of car to buy when I was looking to buy a new car. When I had a problem with the seat of my car, they came over to the house to pick up the car and fix it. I am handicapped and need enough legroom to be able to get out of the car, so this problem needed to be fixed immediately. Lou went over to Subaru, picked up the part and put it in himself. That is the kind of customer service they provide. more

I first started using Modern Auto Care about 13 years ago because I had a nephew who worked there as a mechanic. He is no longer there now, but I continue to go to Modern Auto Care because of their integrity and timeliness. Modern Auto Care gives an honest analysis of what needs to be done with my car, including any necessary repairs and what will cost less to do now versus later. They do not push me to do one thing or another. They let me decide what I want them to do. Also, whereas other mechanics I have used have not started working on my car the day they told me to bring it in, Modern Auto Care will work on it that day. They will not keep your car any longer than necessary. If they tell you to bring it in on a Tuesday, they will work on it that same day. The work they have done for me over the years has turned out well. I think I took my car back once maybe when there was something wrong and they dealt with it right away. I have already recommended Modern Auto Care because I trust them. They have integrity. more
