Mobley Eye Care is a wonderful eye clinic for everyone. Dr. Mobley is very thorough and caring. The only downside is he is only open Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. No Saturday...

they examined my eyes, did not dilate them and I sprang for the extra $15 for their "computer" scan. Said I had toxic maculopathy of the retina and I needed bifocals, said I needed to see an opthalmologist. Went to the opthalmologist who said my eyes were perfectly healthy. They charged over $700 for my glasses. I left there at closing, the very next morning as soon as they opened I tried to cancel the glasses thinking they were too expensive and they said they would charge a 20% restocking fee if I cancelled. They did not tell me that upfront or was it posted anywhere, So to go there with no glasses and a misdiagnosis cost 140 plus 10 insurance copay plus extra 15 plus copay for Kaiser opthamologist for cost $175 for nothing. HIGHWAY ROBBERY. They said the cost of glasses before insurance was $1500. more

IMY FAMILY AND I HAVE BEEN LOYAL CUSTOMERS FOR YEARS. I CAN BET THAT OVER THOSE YEARS THEY HAVE RECEIVED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN CLAIMS FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY. WELL TODAY THEY WOULD NOT SEE ME UNLESS I PAID OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE OF A MISUNDERSTANDING OF A $200 CLAIM WITH BLUE CROSS. BLUE CROSS SPOKE TO THEM ON THE PHONE AND TOLD THEM THEY WOULD PAY/RE-SUBMIT THE CLAIM BUT THEY SAID REGARDLESS THEY WOULD NOT SEE ME TODAY UNLESS I PAID OUT OF POCKET. WHAT AN INSULT- I HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY TODAY BUT IT IS THE PRINCIPAL !! DOES MY YEARS OF SERVICE AND TONS OF PATIENT REFERALS NOT MEAN ANYTHING TO THEM- OH WELL, THEY WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER DIME FROM ME AND MY FAMILY ! more

This place is a total RIP OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never spent so much on glasses !!!! Don't go here. If you don't believe me go there yourself more

Worst Service, Rips you off 8/27/2011

They remade my glasses two times and I still can't see. He scared me into thinking I had Glaucoma, and had me do all the tests. I went to another Doctor and was told there was no need for these tests, He ripped me off. I guess to help pay for the building he move to. I beg you to go to a different doctor, he will indeed over charge you, and not give you proper lenses. Cost at Mobley was over $600.00 and again I couldn't see properly with his glasses. At another Doctor total was less than $300.00. and I can see properly with these. more

RUDE!!! 5/2/2011

May 2,2011 my daughter n I had an appt with Mobley for the first time. We both have Medicaid, I have a rare eye disorder called kconus when trying to explain to the front desk rude person that I have to wear contacts n glasses she told me "SHE HAS NEVER HEARD OF SUCH N MEDICAID DOES NOT PAID FOR IT"I had already called Amerigroup before to verify. The front desk person n I guess a nurse decided to have a loud dicussion on how I have a issue n either one of them wanted to speak with me. I explained that I have no issue but NOW I do! I know what I am talking about n just because someone does not back down does not mean I have a issue I did not get my examine. After returning home I called Amerigroup again n yes I was correct that since it's a medical condition that it would be covered. I am going back over May 3,2011 to inform them I have written a review and will report them to BBB and Medicaid. I worked for General Motors for 13years before closing in Doraville with full medical/dental coverage and what I have notice is medical office talk to ppl with medicaid in a different tone. I am now in the healthcare field so I know that she was rude and could have asked for my records to look up what I was talking about but she choose not to. I will be back to report the result of my letters. more

Poor Customer Service & Greedy 3/8/2011

I visited the Austell store on 30 Sep 10 and ordered a pair of Columbia frame eyeglasses. I asked them to rush the lab with the glasses because I was deploying to Iraq in about a week. When I tried them on, I noticed immediately that they weren’t as clear as my military issued glasses. I redeployed to the U.S. and was getting ready to redeploy five months later when the military eye doctor found out that my expensive glasses was not reading 20/20 in both eyes. I had my same pair of military glasses for over two years and my prescription did not change and I could see more clearly out of those glasses than I could with the expensive ones from Mobley Eye Care. I later went to Mobley Eye Care in Austell, GA and explained my situation to them. I spoke to Angel, the General Manager. She told me they had to do a new eye exam to verify there was an error made with my prescription and it would cost me $89. I told her my prescription hadn’t change in two years and I knew my eyes didn’t get worse in the five months since I visited their clinic so either the doctor messed up or the wrong prescription was ordered. She told me they had a 30 day warranty on their work and since it was way over 30 days I would have to pay for the new eye exam. I again restated my point and told her I deployed about a week after the eye exam. She then told me they would do the eye exam for free since I had to deploy to Iraq. My VSP insurance had expired so they told me they could order some new lenses for me but it would cost me about $250. I told them they made the mistake so I shouldn’t have to pay another penny. I got the insurance company involved and they agreed to pay for the lens but then Angel decided that since VSP was paying for the lens, I needed to pay for the eye exam she told me was free because of my deployment to Iraq. She refused to order the new lens unless I paid for the eye exam, so I ended up paying them the $89 for the eye exam. I am sure that is illegal and Angel needs to be fired. She is bad business. more

Terrible Service!!! 1/11/2011

Mobley Eye Care has the worst customer service. DO NOT GO THERE! I had to go back for 5 different appointments. After I was not satisfied with the results for the 5th time, Dr. Mobley and staff refused to give me a refund, stating I was past their 30 day refund policy. I would not have been past the 30 day refund policy if I did not have to go back 5 times to correct the problem. Long story in short, they kept my $800.00. I had to go Lens Crafters. been a customer for many years, got new glasses this year over 600 dollars, was told my insurance was contacted and would pay a part and my part would be less, to my surprise, insurance only paid a few pennies, now they want to ruin my credit, turn me over to collections , i will NOT be a customer any longer more

Mobley Eye Care is a wonderful eye clinic for everyone. Dr. Mobley is very thorough and caring. The only downside is he is only open Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. No Saturday business. He has a very good team that has been with him for years. In many cases, you can walk out with your new glasses after only an hour! Takes VSP and other insurance programs. They carry a large selection of glasses frames and will help you with the frames that will work best for you and your lifestyle. more
