Honest, Knowledgeable and Customer Focused!\r
Against my wife's wishes, I inherited a 21 year old pontoon boat with the idea of bringing it back to life. I was fortunate to find Phillip and after reading past customer comments (on several sites), decided to get his assessment of the engine's condition. He assessed and shared that he could bring the old Yamaha 50 back to life. Five days later he called and said he wanted to meet at the lake and, in his words, said ""lets take her for a swim"". Phillip met me on a 35 degree morning the day after a light ice weather event here in Raleigh/Cary. We found a sun dried boat ramp off hwy 64/Jordan lake. We then took the boat for a swim and she ran like a top. I WAS STUNNED. After wrapping-up, I paid Phillip what I thought was extremely reasonable fee for his service. I then tried to pay him extra for tolls (the new southern extension of 540) and gas for driving to meet me. I had cash in my hand and tried to hand him the extra and he adamantly declined. I was once again STUNNED in a good way. What great customer service, honesty, and outboard motor expertise. I've since taken the old pontoon on 3 outings to test Phillip's repair. It's run perfectly every time. I'll use no other boat repair service for as long as I own this and future boats.
