Honest, Knowledgeable and Customer Focused!\r Against my wife's wishes, I inherited a 21 year old pontoon boat with the idea of bringing it back to life. I was fortunate to find Phillip and after reading past customer comments (on several sites), decided to get his assessment of the engine's condition. He assessed and shared that he could bring the old Yamaha 50 back to life. Five days later he called and said he wanted to meet at the lake and, in his words, said ""lets take her for a swim"". Phillip met me on a 35 degree morning the day after a light ice weather event here in Raleigh/Cary. We found a sun dried boat ramp off hwy 64/Jordan lake. We then took the boat for a swim and she ran like a top. I WAS STUNNED. After wrapping-up, I paid Phillip what I thought was extremely reasonable fee for his service. I then tried to pay him extra for tolls (the new southern extension of 540) and gas for driving to meet me. I had cash in my hand and tried to hand him the extra and he adamantly declined. I was once again STUNNED in a good way. What great customer service, honesty, and outboard motor expertise. I've since taken the old pontoon on 3 outings to test Phillip's repair. It's run perfectly every time. I'll use no other boat repair service for as long as I own this and future boats. more

Like always I waited to the last minute for repair , just before the holiday weekend . Almost certain I would not be able to go boating with the family I called almost every shop around and not to my suprise no one could fix it in time . I gave Phil a call and the same thing , but I was told to get it in asap and he would see what he could do . He stayed very late and got me going for the weekend and with out any extra charge . His rates are very fair and explains every problem very well and never did I feel pressured into fixing somthing that it did not need .. I have found my only boat mechanic i will ever use and will recomend him to every one . more

I bought a jet ski that has some issues and I was looking for a boat Mechanic so as to get it fixed and came across this listing in Youngsville which is local and I called the number posted for Mr White whom informed me he did not work on Jet ski's but gave me a name and Number to a fellow in North Raleigh(Steve) 946-0080 who seems very knowledgeable... 2 thumb's up for people that care about what they do... more

I am a widowed older lady and live on a local lake and own a newer pontoon boat . I have no trailer so getting it serviced is a major pain and expense . I decided to have phillip come out and service my boat but could not figure out why since he is mobile that he needed to take it with him until , I got it back less than a week later . I was floored . I has never been soo clean and ran that great , and he did not even charge me for the cleaning of the boat and pontoons or for pick up and drop off , he even taught me how to safely get my baby into the boat house . And while he was there he fixed my mower and dewinterized my lawn system . For under 200.00 I felt it was too cheap , for the job and customer service he offers you would be a fool not to use him Pros: goes the extra mile more

being new to the boating world i was worried about the common thoughts about boats being big money pits , not so with this guy . the boat ran so awesome and has never let me down and i would not be afraid for my grandma to take it out by herself thats how good she is running , thanks phil Pros: great rates - even better service and quality repair Cons: may not answer the phone right away more

on our once a year family vaction we lost the upper unit on our drive system , this guy who i have never used till then came to our camp site with a loaner outdrive with in 1.5 hrs notice . And whats even more outstanding there was no charge for the loaner or the call . a few days later he had our drive rebuilt and ready togo at a very reasonable price ! you have a customer for life Pros: takes time to teach his customers - outstanding rates & repa Cons: there is none with this guy ! more
