  • Overview
Moab holds the distinction of being the only city in Utah to be located on the Colorado River. And at an elevation of 4,000 feet, Moab offers a relatively moderate climate year-round.

    The Experience
Rafters come to float the white water of the Colorado and Green rivers, hikers to explore Arches National Park, and back-country skiers to conquer the La Sal Mountains in winter. But mountain bikers rule the area. Besides the world-famous Slickrock Trail, other top trails include Hurrah Pass, Porcupine Rim, Gemini Bridges, Poison Spider, Kokopelli's and White Rim. Moab annually plays host to two of the nation's largest mountain-biking events: the Tour of Canyonlands in April and the Canyonlands Fat-Tire Festival in October.
