Millhouse Steak House

Last Friday night my husband and I decided to try out the Millhouse. We knew it would be a bit expensive but we were game for this. We were greeted by two hostesses and were shown to a table and given two massive menus. We were tired and hot, looking forward to cool drinks. Several waitresses were serving other patrons, it was not crowded at all, but no one even seemed to notice we were there. For at least 15 minutes we sat and tried to look interested in reading the menu for the fifth time. Finally I asked if there was a waitress assigned to our table but, after a search was made, was told that our waitress could not be found. A very busy waitress said she would take our drink order and see what could be done. By now we were embarrassed by the whole thing and decided to just go. It should not be an ordeal to go out to eat. In all honesty, I have had better food and service at Long John Silvers! For the quality and quantity of food, I thought it was very over rated. Served on styrofoam plates and plastic picnic cups, a $50.00 meal for two, get reaady to be highly disappointed. I ordered the fried shrimp, baked potato, cole slaw, hushpuppies and a diet coke. My drink was flat, the potato was so cold that it would not even melt the butter. The hushpuppies were also cold and weren't completely done in the middle. Also, I was very sick for days after the meal. (What little I ate.) Service was terrible! The waitress served us and failed to return and ask if the meal was o.k.
