The Scene: Millennium's ethnically diverse twenty-something crowd likes to stick close the bar after paying the $10 cover charge for mainstream hip-hop and urban contemporary hits from the house DJ. The club is definitely a meat/meet market, specializing in scantily clad women and young men wearing too much gold and cologne. Probably the priciest club in town, it may need its revenues to make payments on the dry ice machine and tinted lights it uses every night. But nothing seems to move the crowd until after 1 am, when the alcohol or last-minute jitters kick in and dozens head to the dance floor. Until then, most just take up the booths and chairs in the back and scan the crowd for good-looking prospects. Must Have Drinks: Martinis.
