I was disappointed in the Mileaway, perhaps it actually had tasty food at one time, I have not found that the case on the 2 times I have been there (I gave them a second chance as perhaps they just had a bad day the first time). Though the wait staff was courteous and friendly, they did not make up for the bland, greasy food that was served up to me. The clam chowder was pasty, unpalatable glop, I have had better from a can. The chicken Provencal was overcooked, with a tasteless sauce that had a film of oil over the top, the accompanying vegetables though crisp also had an unappealing film of greasiness on them and no flavor to speak of. I did not try dessert. My dinner companion had the beef short ribs, though they looked an appealing dark roasted color, and were tender, the beef flavor was muted and weak, it desperately needed salt and herbs! Again, the layer of oil that permeated the food was quite unpleasant. To be honest, though the Mileaway heaps food abundantly on the plate, it isn't worth the price or the experience, I have had better food at the Crackerbarrel with a similar atmosphere.
