Had them do some plumbing work that required a small bit of pipe and some labor. Job was done, but I was billed $2800. The old owner is reimbursing me for the repairs, but they wanted a detailed statement of work completed. My bill literally has $100 for miscellaneous supplies and 27 hours of labor. We called 4 times and asked Mark for a more detailed statement. Every time we cal or stop he's not there and we never get a callback. Just before Christmas my furnace quit working. I didn't know who to call, so I gave McVehil another call. The cost was $190 for after hours diagnostics. Their tech (Josh) stated that it had to be the pressure switch since my furnace is notorious for that issue. He said he could probably get it running until they were able to get a part on Monday. Since it was Saturday and I have a 5-month-old and 2-year old I couldn't risk them getting cold, so I had him come out. He looked at the furnace for about 30-40 minutes and said the controller board was bad. He gave me a quote of $395. I checked the internet and this board was $80 online and takes 10 minutes to change. I am experienced in electronics and IT with over 20 years of experience. It's no different than changing any other board out. I ordered the board and it came Wednesday. CHanged it and nothing was fixed. I called and spoke with Mark and he said they are the professionals and they need to do the work. He said that sometimes you have to fix one problem to find the next. My BS meter was off of the charts, so I called another HVAC tech who runs a professional and honest business. He came in 5 minutes and found the problem. He was done in an hour and we had a furnace. I reinstalled the original board and to no surprise, the furnace STILL WORKS! I emailed and asked for my $190 back since their tech is either an idiot or a con artist. They never responded. These are the only 2 conclusions to draw. The part that was bad was SUPPOSED to be tested and is as simple as touching a voltmeter to it. AVOID THEM!! more

We had McVehil install our new central air system. Gene came out and worked up a very reasonable quote. Within two weeks the crew had started on our system and a few days later we were enjoying our central air. Very courteous and professional staff, from the ladies in the office to the installers they all do a great job. I highly recommend McVehil Plumbing and Heating. more

My ac unit broke yesterday. I called McVehil in the morning, and it was fixed by dinner at a reasonable cost. The serviceman was quick; in and out in about 20 minutes. Highly recommended! more

I have used McVehil for a lot of serivce but the last few calls have been the worst. They could not even fix a simple leak in a pipe and I had to call in another plumber to fix it. Come on a simple leaking hose and you cannot fix it? Also a simple visit to do maintenance on a system resluted in additional charges that were never mentioned in the org. call. Honestly I hate not to use them, but I need service technicians who can do the job, and not bulk me after the fact charge me outrages fees. Look at their current raiting on BBB. more

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend this company to all of you after the great job they did on our house. They handled some serious plumbing problems including a subterranean leak at our house professionally and quickly. They gave me an extremely reasonable price quote and their staff are very friendly and helpful. more

These guys were great. When I called Mcvehil Plumbing about my water heater within 30 minutes they were at my house. They were clean cut and got the job done fast! They told me the best route I should take is to get a new tankless water heater. I end up saving hundreds of dollars a year and I got a nice rebate check. Will use again! Thanks. more

I first called out a plumber to clear my floor drains and they said it couldn't be done because the pipe was broken and they charged me anyway for there efforts. So I decided that i would like another opinion and called out McVehil. They cleared the line and then checked it with a camera to make sure the line was not broken. My point is the other company that said it was broken and was clearly a bunch of liars and wanted to charge me over 5K to replace my floor drains at my restaurant. I will only use McVehil from now on they are trustworthy and very straight forward people. KEEP UP THE GOOD MCVEHIL~! more

A phone estimate is worthless, they said it will cost between $300 to $ 400 to fix broken pike, they billed me more 1000 dolars for additional labor cost. and their billing was terrible. more

My elderly neighbor called McVehil for service and was treated horribly. They did a horrible job and only got a run around when she tried to get it corrected. In the end she needed the job to be repaired by another company. more

The managment at McVehil Plumbing are horrible. They do not show up as they advertise, do poor quality work once they show up, and are worse than an collection agency when billing. more

Last winter we wanted to put in a ventless fireplace gas log system. We needed to have a gas line installed and called everywhere. No one but Mcvehil said that they could do it for us. They were not super expensive but it was a bit pricey. The line took only a few hours to install and so far everything is great! They put two shut off valves on it incase our 5 year old ever tried to reach the one in the fireplace. Cleaned up for us and even set up the logs in the fireplace for us. We had to call them back on a slight problem but they returned the next day and corrected with no questions asked. Highly recommended for service! more
