New Hair Home 8/18/2011

Let's face it, moving to a new city is an adventure but one that can bring trepidations! At the top of the stress list is finding a new hair stylist especially if you have challenging hair. I count as a real blessing finding Cindy Dolan at Mascola?s Salon. She is not only a skilled and talented professional; she delivers services with her focus on the client?s needs. Feel gabby? That?s fine. Need quiet time? She senses that too and gives you your space. I always leave the salon with a great hair cut and in a more positive place thanks to her attention. I confidently recommended her services! more

Worth the drive from Portland 7/24/2011

Anyone who wants to have the red carpet rolled out for them by having an amazing experience AND fabulous results should go to Mascola's Salon in Lake Oswego! Cheryl has created a destination that feels as good as it looks.The spacious, luxurious salon is inviting and warm, just like the owner. Cheryl is confident, creative and caring and she quickly melted away my anxiety. I don't ever remember feeling this at ease when getting my hair done. Rarely have I gone back to the same stylist twice. Now I am really looking forward to the next time! more

Malissa is fabulous! 6/24/2011

I have been going to Malissa for a number of years now - she was recommended by a friend. I'm not a particularly decisive person, so the biggest challenge my stylist faces is when I walk in and say, ""I don't know. It needs to be different. Just do something."" She's great at giving me styles that are creative and different without being Lady Gaga-scary. She gets that I want style while maintaining a professional look. I always get compliments after my hair cut...now I just need her to start coloring those greys for me! :) more

Nagi-Stylist Extraordinaire! 6/13/2011

When I moved to Portland from San Francisco in 1994 I was really disappointed in the cuts I was getting in Portland. I tried so many salons and stylists that I finally gave up and flew to SFG monthly. Seriously, who needs that! Finally, I found Nagi by chance. I followed her from her old salon to Mascola's. Nagi is very professional, stays current with trends and styles, uses fabulous and expensive product on your hair, and has the sweetest demeanor imaginable. What can I say but she is a gem and I love my visits were her. She is all that a woman could ask for in a stylist. What sold her to me was the amount of times people stop me and ask, ""Who does your hair""? Now if that is not the ultimate compliment for Nagi. more

Cheryl is amazing! 5/18/2011

Cheryl has been cutting my curly hair, which also contains several ""cowlicks,"" for several years. I always walk out of there looking like a queen. It is the kind of haircut that looks wonderful for weeks. When she works her magic I am able to make it look nice later by myself. Nothing makes a person feel so self confident as knowing that their hair is looking its best. more

Love, Love my curly hair now!! 5/17/2011

I have curly hair and have traveled around the world searching for a stylist that knew what they were doing. I found it with Cheryl Mascola. She took the time to give me a thorough consultation on cutting my hair and asked me what my expectations were. Cherly is very professional and pleasant to deal with. After the cut I was thrilled. Plus, since I've washed it and worked with it I can see that she cut it just perfectly so that I can work with it easily. Thank you so much I'm thrilled!!!!\r Bonnie in Portland more

Regarding ""Not so happy!""\r \r No one likes to get a bad review, including myself. I've been doing hair for 40 years and this one's my first. I love what I do, care about my clients, my business and I strive for perfection. I had a feeling when I first consulted this client ( I spent 1/2 hr. consulting her and 1 hour on her haircut) that she would be a challenge. We all encounter people that no matter what you do you can't please them. \r I am sorry I could not please you. more

Not so happy! 4/6/2011

I had Cheryl cut and color my hair and was not happy with the cut. According to reviews I read, she was good at working with curly hair. However, the way she cut my hair made it curl up and I was not happy. I called and left two messages for her, but never got a call back. I just wanted to have her make some adjustments, but no call back. Also, it is very expensive, especially when you don't like it. more

Amazing Hairdresser 2/18/2011

I have been visiting Mascola's salon every three weeks for several years now, and the reason is simple: JENN MORELLI! Jenn is the absolute best hairdresser I have ever used. Not only is she able to tames my wild, kinky, tempermatic hair while at the same time providing rich, youthful color, she provides a relaxing, mini-vacation, where I can unwind in ""me-time."" Best Hair Salon! 10/23/2010

I have been going to Mascola's Salon for 6 + years. I love my stylist Kristi Becker. I lived in the Portland area for 5 years before I found a stylist I liked. A friend recommended Kristi and I love her. She colors my hair and I have always been thrilled with the colors she uses. She listens to what I would like, offers her advice, and I'm always thrilled with how my cut and color looks. I bring my daughter to the salon now, too. My daughter loves Kristi! She's the best! more

MASCOLA'S SALON IN TIGARD 8/12/2010

Cheryl has a great eye for the right haircut and color. I came to her after realizing I needed a real pro to help me with a great hairstyle & color based on my own kind of hair. She spent as much time as was needed to cut, style and color w/highlights my hair. I just told her what I had in mind and left it up to her to create what she thought would fit well with the shape of my face and my hair type. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. My hair is easy to take care of now and feels much more healthier. Best of all, my husband loves it and I am getting repeat compliments just about every day.\r \r Cheryl, thank you again for taking so much time with me and making it such a great experience. Miss Klamath County LOVES Mascolas Salon 6/28/2010

I am Miss Klamath County 2010, and have access to free hair care in Klamath Falls from a very knowledgable staff. Even so, I make the 300 mile drive to visit Cheryl at Mascolas Salon because I have never met someone who understands my hair so well. She knows just what I need to look good day to day but also sparkle on stage. Cheryl makes me feel comfortable and confident, and I always leave feeling beautiful and excited to show off my new hair. The salon is spotless and all of the staff is very friendly. They use high quality products and never skimp on anything. If you are someone with a natural wave to your hair, you will love Cheryl- she just ""gets it"" when it comes to working with wavy/curly hair. The price is reasonable for what you get too. I didn't have my hair colored for 3 months, and because of the way she weaves the colors in, no one noticed that I had grow out! She is truly and amazing stylist. This salon is wonderful...I have never been happier with my hair...Jennifer Williams is a true artist! She is so creative, friendly, and has given me the perfect cut and color. I always enjoy my time there. It is a very relaxing atmosphere! The stations have been designed to offer privacy...I have never been to a salon like it. The person at reception (Allison) is so friendly, helpful, and professional. I always feel welcome and appreciated when I'm there. You can be assured that when you call to make an appointment you will be greeted with outstanding customer service. It's all about the stylist! 4/3/2006

When i think of a salon experience, it always comes back to the person performing the service. I have entrusted my hair and it's cut and color to Jamie for years. I completely trust her advice and know that other friends and family have had the same great experience. She can do magic with scissors and foils and I am consistently asked ""Who does your hair?"" As well, she is a trusted advisor for skin care and make-up products and has completely altered my look for special occassions. She rocks! Pros: Great service more
