This is the response the manager wrote to my wife's friend after the friend gave a bad online review and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The reason for the complaint was that the ladies could not get the hot water to work in the shower, notified the front desk on Saturday morning and there was no resolution to the problem, nor contact from the motel manager prior to Sunday's Check out. Letter follows:
DEAREST Mindy,
You and your group
have one our annual award for "Moms Weekend" ...
It is an award that we
facetiously give out every year to the one room that deserves it the
most...
Every year without fail (only on WSU "Mom's Weekend") there is a
person or room of persons that stand out as angry, complaining, unhappy,
miserable, life hating "Moms"!
YOU and your GROUP have won that
prize!!!!
We literally take bets the week before...and the winner takes
all!
It's not a big bet...just $1...but it is fun to watch and see which
one of you are going to win!
We all thank you at the Manor Lodge for
giving us a little entertainment in our otherwise not so droll
lives...
The housekeepers were especially amused at your lack of
comprehension about turning your facet to get HOT water!!
3 times the
girls at the front desk explained to you that the facet had been reversed by the
plumbers...
...a 3 year old went to your room and found hot water within
15 seconds...
You are an idiot and we will no longer be accepting
reservations from you or anyone in your party.
We will be sending this
letter to ALL of the hotels & motels in the area..so that they too will be
able to refuse you service in the future!
