While living here, we had some issues with our downstairs neighbors and Design Homes really didn't do much about it, basically told us that they would talk to them. Eventually the tenants moved out and it was good up until we moved out. The air conditioning unit went bad, and basically blew out hot air on several occasions. Our DP&L bill was $300 where normally would be around $75-100. Design Homes made up several excuses...well we don't pay utilities. So basically if your fridge,stove,or air conditioning (all owned by Design Homes, not the tenants) then bascially you're stuck with any extra electricity their failed machines will use in your unit. Also when we moved out, our unit was completely clean, however, they magically deducted $250 from the security deposit for cleaning fees....yea they really didn't explain that at all, and of course we could do nothing but bite the bullet. Overall my time lived here was adequate, not so much enjoyable. The office is no where near the complex which really makes you feel alone and secluded. The office staff, acts like they care, when they really don't, management has no business in rentals only in the housing market. I also believe that what we were paying was also extremely overpriced. I would definitely not recommend this ""community"" to anyone.
