Manchester Cleaners

I was visiting friends over the holiday break and needed to have about a dozen clothes, mostly pants and slacks pressed. They took my order and told me it wouldn't be ready until after noon the next day. I told them I was from out of town and was leaving at 11am and asked if I could get it sooner. They said they would try. It was busy when I arrived to drop my clothes off and it was busy when I came back. I was pleased to find when I arrived right about 11am, my clothes were all ready. I miss Houston and the good service this Dry cleaning service provided. more

I took a bunch of clothes to Manchesters to be cleaned. I put on my suit the day I picked it up for a wedding and it had 3 holes in it near the left pocket. I took a look at other pants I had just picked up and there were holes in those as well in the same area. I took the pants back and asked them to fix or replace them and the ""owner"" said he wasn't going to do a thing about it and that he ""guarantees their machines didn't put the holes in my pants."" I told him that he didn't note any damage on my pants when I dropped them off and that they were in perfect condition when I dropped them off. He refused to do anything to fix what he messed up. I will NEVER take my clothes there again. The ""owner"" was a jerk and who wants to give money to a jerk, especially in a crappy economy? DON'T TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE! more

This is not the first time.....I asked how much to do a job, and got three different quotes from three different people there. The third was the manager, and he gave me the highest. i told him that his other people had given me a lower price, but he didn't care. He had a take it or leave it attitude, so I took my clothes and left, telling him that he was losing a customer. That didn't faze him, he rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders. I found a cleaners up the road that actually gave me a price off of a price list (it was lower too) and they have now found a new customer. The manager has been extremely rude to me before. The owners should know that he is driving away customers. Maybe he is the owner though, or the son or nephew of the owner. All I know is that they won't get my business anymore.
