As the wife and I were planning our trip, we found the ""Lucky Wok"" restaraunt to be a good place to visit in City Search, However, when we got there they were no longer in business nor were they a Chinese restaraunt but a Thai restaruant by another name. Unfortunately, we were unable to review their food or service as we ended up going to the Mexican place next door. more

One of the finest Thai meals we've had in LA. Service was solicitous and prompt. We brought a family of eight ranging from 2 -78. There was something for everyone. GREAT LITTLE RESTAURANT. THE FOOD IS AUTHENTIC CHINESE & THAI AT A FAST FOOD PRICE. BUT YOU CAN ALSO HAVE A NICE SIT DOWN CHOW IN A ROOMY FAMILY ATMOSPHERE RESTAURANT. Lucky Wok is one of the very few places I have been to and felt completely welcome. The hospitality of the employees is very light-hearted and easygoing and the food as well makes me enjoy coming back for more. Everything about the restaurant creates a mood for happiness and cleanness. This includes the employees, the food, and the environment. The surroundings are very different then many of the other Chinese fast food restaurants out there. It has a theme that makes the feelings very homey and comforting while eating good food. It must be the very best Chinese fast food I have ever tasted, even better than Panda Express. At Lucky Wok, you really get more for your money. It is one of their priorities to feed the customers and they do a very good job in succeeding that while also at a reasonable price. This is one restaurant that I?m glad I did not pass up. I like it because of the amount of food they serve for the price. At lunch time it's a buffet where you point at the food instead of ordering off the menu. My favorite is the Thai style spicy mince pork with fried chili on steamed rice with Satey and peanut sauce as appetizer. The cracking rice soup is great on a cold night when you just need something hot. They have popular items like orange chicken and crunchy chicken wings. Pros: Lots of food for the price. Cons: Sometimes you might need to valet park. It's a busy plaza. more
