Completely Unprofessional 8/24/2011

I have been a customer of Leonardi's for YEARS!! I ordered a pizza and it was confirmed to be ready in 25 minutes....however when we arrived to pick it up there was no pizza!! After being told a pizza was not there for us due to their own negligence (of course they did not admit to this) they denied us the ability to reorder the pizza because they were no longer taking orders for the night although it was well over an hour left till close. I was extremely upset and my consolation was a simple ""Honey, we do not have your pizza here"". I am convinced they sold our pizza and would not own up to it!! Never again will I patronize this restaurant!! more

Absolutely amazing pizza! 6/15/2011

My boyfriend and I order from Leonardi's all the time and we absolutely love it! We usually get the cheese with pepperoni and half onion and it's incredible, we've also tried the white pizza and that too is deliscious! I grew up with Lanova's and Mister Pizza and I have to say, Leonardi's may have topped the list! more

This really is the best pizza ever made,I first had this pizza when I was 15 staying with my brother on Andover Ave I looked forward to there Pizza every Friday!! Hector- semi-retire in Fort Lauderdale 2/2/2010

I left Bflo 31 years ago and still dream of your pizza as well as my husband who is from Puerto Rico and begs me to stop there even when we are staying by Kissing Bridge. I am always surprised to see the same guy behind the counter, even though my husband doesn't believe he was there cooking when I was a student at St. James. Best Pizza - Period 1/8/2010

I first met Hector when our sons were in the same cub scout troop. One of our fields trips was to Leonardis. Hector taught each of the boys how to make pizza. I found out then why Leonardis is soooo good. The sauce is a family secret handed down from the old country. The ingedients are all top notch and selected personally by Hector. The cheese is hand grated and the pepperoni is hand sliced. The boys really enjoyed that trip and even though it was 15 years ago I still remember how good the pizza tasted. We go back as often as we can but we sure wish there was a East Amherst location . . hint, hint. Pros: Quality and price - what else is there? Cons: Needs an East Amherst location as well more

Buffalo's Best Pie 1/4/2009

Please HELP! Moved south and can't live without Leonardi's Pizza for the SuperBowl. I grew up on Leonardi's and took it personal when they relocated to Amherst but made the short drive anyway whenever I had a craving. Great Pizza, Family Friendly 3/27/2008

Now I really grew up on Leonardi's Pizza, his first store was at Mannhart and Bailey he sold pizza by the slice. We use to go up and buy slices all the time. Then be moved down by to Andover and Bailey by the police station. Thanks Hector for a great pizza, prices and lots of memories. Pros: Great food! more

If Superman was a pizza... 9/20/2007

...He would be a Leonardi's pizza. I use to work next Leonardi's when it was on Bailey. When sign changed to ""Avenue pizza"" It was a dark dark day. I saw people get back into thier cars and drive away. Now my job takes me all over the country. The only place where I can get a halfway decient pizza is in New York City. I grew up on Leonardi's pizza (the location was on Bailey Ave)... I left Buffalo 13 yrs ago and I didn't realize until I left the area how GREAT Leonardi's Pizza really was... I knew liked the pizza but, didn't realize I LOVED the pizza until I didn't have anymore and I had the pizza here... I live in the Tri-state area (PA, DE,NJ,MD)... I no longer order pizza... The pizzerias here (Delaware) has no idea how is make a pie... My first stop when I visit Buffalo is Leonardi's.... please please branch out to Delaware... We used to drive in from Cheektowaga down to Suffolk & Bailey to pick up Hector's masterpieces back in the early 70's....you could order either 1/2 or whole....double cheese and double pepperoni TO THIS DAY is the best pizza I ever had....wash it down with some ""pounders"" and life couldn't be better.\r \r I think I just started crying... My daughter brought home a pizza from Leonardi's and shared it with mom & dad. It's something to die for. If there's such a thing as a ""hearty"" pizza this is it, no skimping on anything. A basic cheese & pepperoni doesn't get any better than this.\r \r Would recommend to anyone along with St. Angelo's depending on one's preference of flavor.\r more

Charlotte, NC has Buffanardi's 6/15/2006

If you miss Buffalo style pizza and you are in the Charlotte, NC area. Step over to Central Avenue and get Buffanardi's Pizza. It is the same as Leonardi's, not too mention a photo of Leonardi's store front displayed in the waiting area. The sauce is sweet and the pizza's are monstrous and so delicious. I believe they had to do a presentation and show Leonardi's their ideas and then Leonardi's gave them the recipe for the sauce. IT is THE BEST PIZZA IN CHARLOTTE, NC. I dont care what ANYONE SAYS!!! I grew up down the street from the Baily locale and worked there scraping pans and slicing peperoni...I had a great time working with Hector/Louie and Anne. Sorry, getting nostalgic...as far as rating the pizza...""IT WAS THE BEST FOOD I EVER HAD LET ALONE PIZZA!!!"" My family loves this place. Got to be hands down the best pizza (and chicken tenders!) around. We will go out of our way just to travel to Buffalo (from the suburbs of Toronto) to pick up some pizza and chicken from Leonardis. The Leonardis are super people as well. Very friendly and helpful.
