Dr. Steinberg is a patient individual, very understanding, and extremely eager to to help. My daughter was temperamental but exhibited signs of ADHD and we brought her here to see Dr. Steinberg. His sessions with her have helped her calm down quite a bit and we can't thank him enough. more

Where do I start?! This Doctor is a fraud. Please please please listen to the negative reviews before you go to this doctor. He is not upfront with his fees and you will get stuck with the $500 bill for your fist visit. This is how he makes his money. I doubt there is any repeat business or referrals there because he is a scam artist. He diagnoses every child with ADD/ADHD even if you come in with something completely different as your concern. He does that because it is the easiest thing to misdiagnose and any child can be put in this category in the duress that he puts them through in his office. I simply cannot believe that everything that happened to me was already described in these reviews. I am devastated that he continues to practice psychology. He should be in prison for defrauding people. He told me that my son was 'off the chart' ADD because my 7 year old son interrupted him once. BTW, we came in to diagnose dyslexia and no one EVER said that my son has any ADD symptoms. Try to find out how much your first session will cost before the appointment. I bet you will not be able to, because all he wants is to get you to that office and charge you $500 while you are so shocked that you lose the power of speech. more

PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR AT ALL. He does not care about you or your child or anyone or anything besides money. I wish I was warned before going to see him. He will charge you an arm and a leg for doing NOTHING!!! The first thing he does when you go to his office is shove his contract (which is treatments in sessions and VERY EXPENSIVE) to sign. He'll tell you his treatments are guranteed to make you feel better, if that was true why does he make you sign the contract first and why not do the treatments one at a time instead of package deals....HE KNOWS NO ONE WILL COME BACK SO HE TIRES TO JACK YOUR MONEY ALL AT ONCE. \r \r Its common sense if the treatments were as effective as he claims people would be coming back to him without being obligated due to some contract becuase they feel better. I did the treatments and did not feel any better and he still charged me an arm/leg for nothing. Please save your money and do not waste it on this scam artist under the name/laber ""Dr."" he is a greedy self-obsorbed money hungery heartless piece of work. We expect doctors to be the way we expect them to be - just doctors: in general, who only hear our side. We don't want them to show their human side unless they sympathize with our problem. SO I do understand where some people coming from when they don't believe in treatment or don't want to pay so much, especially when they see such a dramatic approach in medical treatments like Drug-Free Biofeedback, TFT etc. It’s also true that Dr. Mark Steinberg is a character with a great sense of humor and different then come/check/prescription/go approach. And that is exactly what turn some people off. They can't see beyond what they used to, different kind of doctor....a psychologist....and that's their loss. I want to tell you that Dr. Steinberg's approach is more about your child to be comfortable, not much about you (if you are not a patient yourself) ...he is one of the best Child Psychologists out there. You should concentrate on treatments for you and your child, make sure that results from the place you go or to sick help from speak for themselves. Doesn't matter if your doc is different - what matters here is: Does the treatment help you or your child? Did you update your doctor on progress or not every week? The Biofeedback is one of the best options for people to get better if they have problems with medications, would it be allergic reaction, various side effects, fear of medicine, luck of medicine that helps etc. From some of dissatisfied customers we only hear pay lots of money, bs, bad humor... some rather inappropriate notes. I just want to tell you as a Pediatrician: if you disrespect a doctor like Mark Steinberg you disrespect yourself. Your money is well worth to be spending on his treatment and your child is in very good hands. And believe me for a Psychologist of his rank he is well worth what you pay him - you are in bargain here. You also may learn a lot from Dr. Steinberg, I know I do every time we communicate on referrals or treatment discussions. Pros: Knowlege is the key and Doctor knows what he is doing!!!
