Surgery is performed at all Willis-Knighton hospitals. Services range from complex surgeries to simple outpatient procedures. When surgery is required, patients have the comfort of knowing that their procedures can be performed in a full-service hospital with easy access to a wide range of support services should they be needed.
A broad range of common surgeries - orthopedic, gynecologic, cardiac, neurosurgical, ophthalmic (eye) and ear, nose and throat surgeries - are available throughout the health system. Transplant surgeries are performed at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, home to the WK/LSUHSC Regional Transplant Center. Willis-Knighton has a long tradition of innovation and has been home to the Willis-Knighton Institute for Laparoscopic Surgery, where surgeons affiliated with Willis-Knighton train resident surgeons in advanced methods of laparoscopic surgery.
