Landry's Seafood House

I work in the area and have grown up in New Orleans. I also love to eat out. I am very familiar with New Orleans restaurants and know good food. I'm not sure why, but I have never been to Landry's. Some co-workers and I decided to eat there for lunch the other day. BIG MISTAKE! The lunch menu was very overpriced. It was actually the same as the dinner menu. The location of the place is excellent. It is right in the French Quarter area. The three of us we all very dissatisfied with the quality of our food. It was average to slightly below average. The service was just okay. Definitely not worth a $25 lunch! There are WAY too many other great places within walking distance of this place. Sorry Landry's, you guys have some work to do. I always stop in Landry's for their Lump Crab Cocktail and and order of Oysters Landry. These are actually two of the best seafood dishes in the city. Cheap, as far as this type of food goes. I highly recommend that you try these two dishes......excellent. more
