This restaurant is called Magnolia Cafe & Bakery and it supports a community of disabled people enabling them to have a quality life. The whole farm including the restaurant, PET SHOP- though controversial- and Thrift Store supports more

DO NOT BUY ANIMALS FROM LAMBS FARM 5/23/2008

Do not buy animals from Lamb's Farm! They get them from puppy mills and MOST have or will have problems. My vet just told me that they have documented PROOF of 5 puppies that had to be put down in the first 3 months of their lives. If anybody has a similar story please Email it to me. Here is my story that I sent to them with no response, of course.. more

A loving atmosphere of support for people with disabilities 11/5/2007

Lamb's Farm is a wonderful little place to spend an afternoon. If you're in the northern Illinois or southern Wisconsin area and want a nice drive to a place where you can picnic or have a decent lunch in the restaurant you will enjoy your visit. It's not an amusement park and there is not allot to do but it's worth an afternoon to take small kids for pony rides, train rides, petting zoo, gift shops and pet shop. It's run by volunteers and we have even seen members of the Marine Corps. doing volunteer work here. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing people with disabilities a chance to grow, flourish and produce in a caring environment. I think this is a wonderful philosophy and a learning experience for all of us. Come and visit even if you don't have kids. It's a great campus. Pros: A wonderful non-profit with a big heart more

Terrific burger 8/7/2006

We had hoped to go for breakfast, but ended up going for a late weekday lunch. The restaurant looks like the name, a quaint country inn restaurant on a ""farm"". Most meals were under $10. Kids meals were$3.99-$5.00 including a drink, applesauce, and fries. My husband got their hamburger which came with choice of cheese, but also offered free extras like mushrooms and bacon. His burger was terrific. He doesn't gush on food usually. I got the salad bar and French onion soup. The soup was very good. The salad bar was adequate with many items in a small space including both tuna and chicken salad. A few of the items (spinach and cucumbers come to mind) were not fresh looking or tasting. The canned pudding was lumpy. We used an Entertainment book coupon without a problem. Remember, many days this restaurant closes at 3pm (open late Fri/Sat, I think). Pros: charming setting Cons: not a lot of menu choices for lunch more
