Best

I prefer going here over Six Flags. It's closer to home and costs less. The crowds are probably about the same, but it still has that hometown kind of feel and you just feel safer...

Fun for all-Save room for the fair food! 12/1/2005

I prefer going here over Six Flags. It's closer to home and costs less. The crowds are probably about the same, but it still has that hometown kind of feel and you just feel safer about having your children here than at Six Flags. The water rides are a lot fun and absolutely neccessary to cool down when spending a day out in the hot sun. Go with an empty stomach and eat as much Fun food as you can! We love the funnel cakes-I just wish they had Elephant Ears. The corn dogs are out of this world! more

fun for the whole family 10/28/2005

This is Chattanooga's little Six Flags. It is actually in Rossville, GA which is right across the Georgia State line. They have rides for little kids as well as water rides and roller coasters. They have like 10 rides for little kids and over ten what they call thrill rides. To get in is only 3.00 and you can purchase tickets for .75 each. Unlimited Ride Pass is $18.00. Much cheaper than Six Flags. They also have summer concerts so go often to the website for info. more

On the Pipeline Plunge, riders meander through a five-story maze of pipes before finishing the ride with a splash. Carnival games to test your skill and luck. Fun place to go with family... 7/31/2005

It's a classic amusement park. Lake Winnie has been in business for 80 years. It's a great place to go with your family and have a good time. Rides, food, and music make this place a good time. Take a rest by the large lake and feed the carp filled lake some popcorn. I've been going since I was a little girl and it's great that I'm getting to take my kids to a place I had so much fun at as a little girl. more

Fantastic place for families to have fun! 7/12/2005

This is a fantastic family fun park that has been in business for 80 years. It has 2 rollercoasters & 2 water rides & many other rides, games & activities to keep your family busy all day. Admittedly this is not as big as Six Flags or some other amusement parks, but it has enough to keep you going all day & not get bored. The kiddie ride section is a decent size. They even have a kiddie sized roller coaster, which is also loved by parents everywhere. Also the elephant ride (similar to Dumbo at Disney) and the Frog Hopper. There's also the usuals, the carousel, the ferris wheel, the alpine way cable cars, but also some unusual rides like the paddle boats that you can ride out into the Lake at your leisure. Admission is about $3.00 but you must also pay to ride. You can either buy individual tickets for rides, or buy a bracelet that lets you ride all day. If you intend to ride more than 1 or 2 times I'd recommend just buying the bracelet, which is about $16. When you need to relax and wind down there are various eating areas throughout the park with great food and also a picnic area for large groups. They also offer group discounts. The food here is pretty good & they have a good variety of all the goodies you crave- pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, funnel cakes, ice cream, cotton candy, candy apples. Yum! You can also settle in and watch a concert in their Jukebox Junction area or play miniature golf too. Don't forget to ride the choo choo train which goes all around the park & gives you a tour while you're at it. So, if you're looking for family fun for a variety of age groups, this is the place to go. It's also great for a memorable date. more
