My daughters were excited to attend this ballet studio after taking classes in Redlands. We recently moved to this area. My oldest found the class to be full of immature teenagers more concerned with being nasty than with dance. The teacher told the kids she was not there to teach them certain things since this was a certain level class. I realize the class she went to was more advanced than her previous, but I was paying for the instruction. We would gladly have taken a lower class....but unfortunately I find the people at this ballet to be small town and unaccustomed to acceptance of new people. My youngest was scared to go after the experience of her sister. Individuals teaching the arts should foster a love for the art...show and teach the children how wonderful this talent is rather than scare them away and make them feel uncomfortable. Art is not really taught in schools and I find it an important aspect of being well rounded. We shall make the extra drive to Redlands. The studio in Redlands in managed by a wonderful woman very willing to share her talent and love of the art with others. In no way would she allow such childish behavior or tell students she would not teach them certain steps....we all need some reminding of previously taught material. I am very disappointed. I will not support this type of institution.
Pros: beautiful large study
Cons: tight knit group that is not accepting of new students
