Content Parent! 6/30/2008

At first we sent our child to this school because we wanted Montessori education for him at a reasonable price. He has been with the school for 2 years and we can see how much he has grown intellectually and also socially. Unlike traditional schools or day cares, montessori schools provide children with an environment that stimulates their love for learning. My son is only five and I was sooo..... impressed when he first wrote his report on Mongolia. Well, now he writes so many other reports on not just countries but also on planets, volcanos and so on... If I had forgotten to mention, his math skills are great too. He does Additions and Multiplications with so much ease. I am so glad he goes to Lake Country Montessori because this is the age when the child develops a passion to learn and gets individual attention as needed... And the teachers here are so dedicated to providing the best guidance and direction towards learning. This has also provided me with an opportunity to learn a little bit about what Montessori education is... As parents, we love this school and are very happy to be a part of this wonderful community. :) Pros: Individual attention, Efficient teachers, Economical. more

Quality Education 6/29/2008

Our son was at the Lake Country Montessori (LCM) for three years. He went to a traditional day-care before that. One of our friends told us about LCM and encouraged us to go and take a first hand look. When we went there, the first thing that struck us was how organized and quiet the entire set up was as opposed to the general chaos at the day-care that my son attended. All the children were completely absorbed in their individual activity. Another thing we noticed was that it was a mixed age group and it was simply wonderful to watch the older children mentor and take care of the younger students. We made up our mind then and there to move our kid out of the chaotic day care in to Lake Country Montessori. Pros: Education quality, tuition fees, teacher qualiification and experience more

Outcomes parents are looking for: Being able to Read, Write, and Do Math Proficiently before first grade. 4/20/2008

I sent all four my kids to Lake Country Montessori. Why?? Reason 1. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Story about Montessori children all excelling and testing better than Public and other privates. Google the story yourself. Reason 2.: All of the children met my outcome goal of being able to Read, Write, and do Math all before First Grade (And I mean sound out any word etc even if they do not know the meaning yet). It is an excellent prep school for University Lake School, Brookfield Academy, or putting your child way ahead if going public. My children love to go to school, seriously, and love learning. I wish I could have had that head start and learned how to learn. Pros: Children know how to read, write, do math and act appropriately Cons: Needs to expand which they are in 2008-09' school year to Hartland, WI a better and larger facility more
