I love the teacher but the assistant to the daycare needs to find a job she likes because this isn't one that she does. And not only do I feel she is rude to paying parents but...

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/30/2014

Horrible, unprofessional, dishonest and flat out shady child care. Your kids are better off unattended then to be in the care of these people, that is how bad it is. A teacher took photos of my 4 year old daughter on their personal cell phone infront of my 9 year old son and when confronted about it said 'I deleted them, I can show you my phone'. My son had a severe injury to his elbow that he received at daycare and when I requested to see the incident report they said 'He came here with that'. My 14 month old has a severe allergy to eggs and the teacher she has had the entire time we have been there said 'Were having pancakes today' and she looked confused when I began to explain to her that my daughter cannot have anything containing eggs. I have made atleast 5 attempts to talk to the director over the last two weeks and she will not return any of my phone calls and seems to be avoiding me when I enter the facility. This daycare was put on probation until 2015 and I read that the most recent inspection that put them on probation that occurred in June 2014, was because they had a teacher working there who had not done a background check. So basically, a child molestor could have been watching my kids, maybe even the same teacher that took pictures of my 4 year old daughter with their personal cell phone. I had initially put in my two weeks like I am supposed to but have now had to pull them out prior to because of their behavior and I fear that the teachers are so childish and unprofessional that there is a real possibility they could take it out on my children. I cant even believe this place is licensed. more

Bad assistant director 12/1/2008

I love the teacher but the assistant to the daycare needs to find a job she likes because this isn't one that she does. And not only do I feel she is rude to paying parents but she is rude to her staff and thats why i feel in the past year my child has been going there so many people have left. They had a teacher there that I have seen grab a child hard and thank goodness she wasn't my childs teacher her name was Stephanie she was in the two's Pros: A few good teachers Cons: find out why they hire just anyone and why the assistant director is still there more

Not all all what they want you to believe... 7/25/2008

At first sight, La Petite Academy seems like it would be a great place for your child - teachers are friendly, director is nice, kids are happy... But after a month of being here, I am looking for a new place. Every morning upon dropping off, the children are sitting quietly at desks... Its barely 7am and there is no activity... Just sitting there, staring at the walls... Not all all inviting to a new child. They stare at you, especially when you walk in. No one seems like they want to be there. My child is terrified of this place. She got MUTILPLE fire ant bites on her foot while outside for ""water day"" and ever since does NOT want to play in water (she is a water baby and loved to play before this). One of the teachers YANKED her by the hand when she sat down. Yes, my child put her weight in it, by sitting down and not wanting to move, but there should have been a better way of resolving this issue, NOT pulling the child by the arm so hard that it hurts them. Upon confrontation, the teacher replied ""Oh, o.k."". That was it. Didn't even try to explain. My child, who at her last daycare, RAN into the building every morning, and was happy all day long, now cries the minute she wakes up, begging and pleading not to go back. Highly dissapointed. It's sad too, I had such high expectations of this place. more
