I've really, really tried to like La Casa. They've got a great location right on the river next to the bicycle trail, an outdoor seating area, and are located in one of the coolest buildings in town (a renovated brick and wood beam warehouse. However, they just miss the mark on a lot of fronts.
The food, although good, isn't up to their pricing. It's tasty, but not fantastic. The service is generally good, without being anything to write home about. The drinks are good, but maybe a little overpriced. Maybe the most disappointing aspect of La Casa is that it appears with just a little effort to push them over the top, the place could be fantastic. Easier said than done I know, but I don't claim to be a restaurantier, just a restaurant reviewer.
