I had used another service center for years, but after a bad experience, a friend told me that I really should be going to L&L. Best move I could have made! My car and have been well treated here. Repairs are made within the time I've been promised, and I've been kept informed about any findings. The pricing is certainly fair, and you can't find a friendlier, more caring staff. Whenever I hear anyone complaining about the service they're getting elsewhere, I tell them, ""You really should be going to L&L""! more

This is in response to Mark's review for repairs suggested for his vehicle. I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed about the cost of repairs on your vehicle. As we all know repairs can be overwhelming and never come at a good time. When the vehicle (1989 MERCEDES) was dropped off to us, we were asked to check the suspension and some additional repairs. We found that the right rear lower control arm was hanging down due to a rusted out and broken control arm assembly (the bolt was still in the frame and sucked through the arm and bushing) which is a very dangerous condition and a safety hazard. All 4 of the tires had dangerously big dry rot cracks and literally had chunks out of the side wall. Just these conditions alone make this vehicle unsafe to drive on the road. There were other conditions on the suspension that were noticed as well, too many to mention. \r \r With this said, we have an obligation as a Certified Automotive Repair Facility, as difficult or painful as it may be to hear, what repairs are needed or even suggested on all vehicles. We want our customers to understand fully all the repairs needed on the front end of service before work begins rather than getting knee deep into service and then to get that unwanted phone call to say its going to cost more money. \r \r We invite all of our customers to please communicate all concerns with us so we can come to A mutual agreement in any regard. Took my car in for some muffler work. The guy in the back who had been there forever, took good care of us. Went out of his way to help me out and saved me a ton of money. Was out of town and wanted to spend a little dough on some needed repairs like window and trunk were broke. They gave her a $4000 estimate for a rear side mount and didn't even look at the issues she brought the car in for. When I got back into town, I fixed it myself for $120. took me 2 hrs, in a parking lot. If you know what's up, talk to the guy in the back. If you don't know anything about cars, avoid this place like the plague. Would have given him $400 for replacing the side mount, plus had the other repairs done, AND kept bringing my biz to him, despite the fact I live in South Austin. Now they get nothing except bad reviews, from me. more

What a rare find! They do great work and they're honest. No one likes car repair bills, but its nice to know that someone is out there that still believes in doing a job right and doing it at a fair price. No gouging, no misdiagnosis, no BS. I have only been lucky enough to find two repair shops which I could trust completely in my 33 years of owning automobiles . L & L Automotive is at the top of the list. Larry, Jeff, and the few techs that I have met are all exceptional guys. On my first visit, they saved me a small fortune knowing how to do the maintenance without one of the overpriced and unnecessary replacements. Any other repair shop would have gouged me for the profit. Since that first visit, they have given me incredible advice and exceptional service every time I've been there. I live in Austin and it's over 30 miles to this shop - I'll drive it in a heartbeat because I know I can put my trust in these guys - they'll do a stellar job for you at a more than fair price. Larry's a hoot and you couldn't meet a nicer bunch of guys. more

Best auto repair in Dripping Springs. We have been here about 10 years and have used several shops around town and down 290. Always helpful and very knowledgeable service. They have done a great job with working with our needs and letting us know costs and time needed to complete repairs. Great communication. Pros: Great service more

Larry and his staff are friendly and have the best customer service that I've ever experienced at a car repair facility. They are truthful about repairs needed and do not pressure you to do service you don't need. I've referred numerous family and friends to L&L and all of them have been happy with the service and work performed. Larry has gone out of his way to give me a ride to work or home if I need it. These guys are good! A wonderful customer service experience. Whether I'm having a simple oil change or a major repair, I am always treated in a professional and courteous manner. They take the time to explain the mechanical issues and will not sell you a bunch of services that your vehicle does not need. more
