Top of the Line Restaurant 8/18/2005

Kirby Grill is an upscale restaurant. There are two sections of the kirby House - one the grill, which is more formal, than the informal Kirby House. The formal restaurant is very formal, and very expensive. Items are ordered a la carte. The food is excellent though, and the servers are wonderful too! If you are trying to impress someone, Kirby Grill is the place to take them! more

Pricey, nice location in downtown Grand Haven 8/16/2005

Full bar, pricey dishes. A good place for singles and under 40's people. Waitressing staff not always competent, but the food is usually pretty decent. Excellent location to have dinner then walk in the shops downtown and pop down to the waterfront. Not a good value for the money, but a good place to be "seen" in Grand Haven. more

  • Situated on the corner of Washington and Jackson–within walking distance of the shores of Lake Michigan–the historic Kirby House has functioned as a hotel, residence, restaurant and community hub since 1873. The venue is comprised of three restaurants (Kirby House, The Grill Room, K2 Pizzeria) a nightclub (Dark Room) and a variety of special event rooms. The Kirby House is a lakeshore favorite for happy hour cocktails, family pizza nights, special occasions and late-night excursions. During warm weather months, the main dining room, island bar, and second story deck are perfect spots to enjoy dinner and drinks after a day spent on the beach.
