My two sons have been attending Kinder Haus for six years. My first son was cared for in home for six months. I was incredibly nervous about finding the right place for him. I checked out every available child care center in Pflugerville, and they terrified me. They either appeared unsafe, overcrowded, impersonal, or even the big expensive ones (Courtyard) felt like a kennel for babies. I didn't want a babysitter for my child. I was searching for a place that treated my son as an individual, and nurtured them through laughter, music, and play. I stumbled on Kinder Haus, and scheduled a visit with Ms. Glenda. At first glance, I was a little nervous about the ""Mom and Pop"" shop feeling. But as we toured, I saw the energy beaming from all the kids at Kinder Haus. Every classroom had children filled with smiles. What really drew me to KH was that loving feeling, the home cooked meals that Ms. Glenda prepares for the school, the truly advanced curriculum, and ultimately, the tenure of the staff. At the time I enrolled my first son (and they were on a wait list at the time), the LEAST tenured teacher had been there 7 years. Six years later, the staff now has 81 years of experience - that's an 8 year avg each! I know that Ms. Glenda, Ms. Robin, and Ms, Cyndi all have over 20 years at KH, and it's absolutely a family business. Since then, my youngest son has joined KH. He stayed at home with a Grandma that moved to my area shortly after he was born. He stayed with Grandma much longer than I would have preferred, and had issues socializing. Ms. Robin had him feeding himself, potty trained, and jammin with the other kids in just a few weeks.
Pros: Love, Character Building, Safe
Cons: Wow, I couldn't think of any!
