Kennys Music School and Shop

I've been taking guitar lessons from Kenny for over a year now. At first I was checking out Dan Man's, but I'm so happy that I chose Kenny's in the end. I've received music lessons from three other places in the past and I've never learned so much as I've learned from Kenny. Kenny is a rare type of instructor who listens and cares about his students. He is also a musical genius who can listen to any song once and write down all of the tablature perfectly so his students can learn any song that they desire. Kenny is extremely supportive, is an amazing teacher and is also a great guy. The other instructors at Kenny's are also top notch professionals who are equally friendly and supportive. Kimberly is a helpful sweetheart too. I've bought multiple instruments from Kenny's (a sweet guitar, capo, books, tuner, picks, and even bagpipes that Kimberly found and ordered for me!) and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and the prices. Kenny and Kimberly are notorious for going out of their way to make their customers happy and feeling at home in their shop. They are some of the most genuinely kind people that I've ever met and I always leave the shop in a better mood. I have been a customer of Kenny and Kimberly's for years. Let me start off by saying that they are the most honest and good-hearted people you could ever come across. Their business is their passion and their livelihood, and you can tell they pour their soul into their store. I found out about their business through my cousin, who was taking vocal lessons there. I was a loyal customer to another local store, but decided to try out Kenny's, as she spoke so highly of them. Their professionalism, connections, experience, friendliness and inventory made me switch immediately. I am not a big computer user, but I was prompted to write this review because I found out from my cousin that someone they had sued was going around defaming their business. I am always saddened to hear bad things happen to great people, so I felt it was my responsibility to help rectify this unfortunate situation. Truly good businesses are hard to find these days, and Kenny's Music is one of them. They do a lot of benefit concerts, community work, and give lessons and instruments at no cost to children in the area, who can't afford them. I'm proud to be their customer and proud to have them as a member of my community. more

I've been to many music stores around the OC area and I have not come across one better than Kenny's Music. PERIOD. Their selection and quality of instruments are the best, and as far as the teachers they employ they know their craft well and will get any musician rippin' faster and harder no matter what their skill level is. 5 stars hands down. more

Kenny and his wife act like they are super stars of something, bragging about all the rock stars they know, but simple music theory escapes them and they are selling instruments to unaware parents as new which are used and have only been restored. Shame on you Kenny Williams! more

After 4 months, still no guitar. I requested a refund and it took another 3 months. I heard good things but they obviously were I did meet 3 people that had similar experiences. more
