Don't let the nice guy handshake and previous reviews fool you, Cheap labor for cheap work. I recently took my car in for major engine maintenance and was immediately skeptical by the hole in the wall location but Joey is a nice guy and convinced me that his #1 priority is the customer. At first everything seemed to work but after a couple of weeks I started noticing a large oil leak so I took it back and asked him to examine it. He told me I needed a new Oil gasket, so I said ok. A week later, same oil leak only bigger. Upon further investigation I noticed the "gasket" he changed wasn't a gasket at all but some plastic epoxy that was SHOVED into where the gasket was supposed to be. I then took it to another mechanic and was informed that the major work I had Joey do previously was where the problem was coming from, a front oil seal that was incorrectly installed. I called Joey to inform him of the situation and he tried telling me "sometimes you get bad parts." Well, I'm sure he's correct, sometimes you do get bad parts but he didn't use the CORRECT part and that just added to the already existing problem to which he created in the first place. I really wanted give this shop a better review but with situations such as this, how would that be possible? So if you want to pay cheap prices for questionable labor, follow the other reviewers and choose joey's auto. Otherwise, pay a little more somewhere else and do more research than I initially did and get it done right more

Upon first impression, I must say I was quite impressed. Right off the bat, I found him to be friendly and very knowledgeable. I was offered a thorough explanation of the work to be performed and the best part, an unbelievable price/savings! Other places tried to suggest work that need not be done to extract more money however Joey was different. I'm full of gratitude for I'm a female and can easily be taken advantage of when it comes to auto work. With the poor economy, the savings is much appreciated! Bottom line is, I am one satisfied customer. Joey saved me! He is my hero and now, not only is he my mechanic but also my friend. The team at Joey's Auto Repair is great! Joey is a mechanic unlike any other. He is personable, friendly, and most of all honest. He does great work at an affordable price and is open on Saturday to accommodate his customers who work M-F 9-5. I’ve been going to his shop the past year for brakes, oil changes, and an engine light warning that came up suddenly. When I discovered he would do the same job as my old mechanic faster, and for much less it was a no-brainer on where to get my car fixed. I don’t take my Avalon anywhere else now. more

on a sunday night a 8 pm my breaks were going out aand thank god i pulled over at joeys. he took care of my brakes so i could get down to sd that night. joeys is the man for your ride. thanks joey your the MAN ! more

if your the kind who got cheated before by a mechanic and have a distasteful feeling in your mouth about them just like me... and is now looking for someone to trust that can tell you the truth about your car, the joey is your man! I have been going to joey now for 5 years after been going to the dealers and other so called specialized mechanics. but they only charged nothing less than an arm and a leg. but with joey, he showed me exactly what was wrong, why it happened, and what he should do to fix it and also educated me on how to maintain my car so it wont happen again. A year and a half ago my van broke down i don't know anybody because that time i just recently moved i went to 3 different auto shops and they quoted me pretty expensive.... i waited for a month to save some money... when i got the money then i just found out about Joey's Auto Shop.. i called and went their... they checked my Van and told me what needs to be done and how much i need to spend.... their price is very reasonable.... the staff and their service are great they even drop me off to my work and picked me up when it was done... since then every time i have a problem with my van i always go to Joey's Auto Shop... more

My father is a mechanic, and I am from the east coast so he is pretty far away. I am extremely thankful that I found Joeys Auto- they explain everything, and have actually taken the time to answer all of my father's questions in the past. I recommend Joeys Auto to everyone I know and my husband and I will not go anywhere else. Joey's Auto Service was referred to me by a co-worker. She had been going to him for 10 years and she was referred to him by a co-worker (she's been going to him for 15 years) from a previous job. I told myself i would check the shop out and get a quote. After all, I have a lot of respect for my co-worker and if she trusts Joey's Auto Service then it is definitely worth checking out. I just want to add that I received a quote for the same repair order for $800 dollars more from another mechanic. I drove to Joey's Auto Repair and I immediately had some positive observations: 1. I was warmly greeted by Joey himself. (JOEY IS FRIENDLY) 2. There were a number of vehicles in the shop, and all his mechanics/technicians were busy at work. No one was just standing around. Everyone was doing something. (JOEY IS EFFICIENT) 3. The customers that were there were returning clients. (JOEY IS TRUSTED) Joey did additional work on my car and the total cost of the repair was LESS than the quote I got from the other mechanic. (JOEY HAS GREAT VALUE!!!) i went to joey with my 2002 bmw with my brakes squealing loudly EVERY time i used them and my AC vents smelling terrible. my brakes had been getting REALLY bad over the past 2 weeks. he told me that he was going to change my brakes, rotors and cabin air filter. he told me exactly how much it would cost and gave me a specific date my car would be ready. it was the fastest and most inexpensive experience i have ever had with an auto shop. i have been a faithful customer for two years now. i go back whenever something is wrong with my car. joey makes it easy to trust him and he gives the best deals. i know he will take care of my car. it feels like family at joey's auto service! I was recommended this place by a friend when I was experiencing car trouble... when i arrived to Joey's Auto Repair Service I was approached right away and greeted. I explained to them what the problem was and they took a look. They quickly identified the problem and they explained to me what was going on. It was a comforting experience because I can see they know what they're talking about. I left for a short period of time and when I returned they were finishing up. The service was quick and efficient. The pricing was fair not like other places where they try to run the price up on you. Overall good experience!
