Jim's Gun Jobbery & Indoor

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. They ought to call this place Jim's Gun ROBBERY and Indoor. Their prices are ridiculous and their customer service is even worse. I went in there about a month ago and put a 1911 on layaway. The older gentleman behind the counter said that if i put a gun on layaway I need to put a minimum amount of money to hold it. So I put down about $40. He said if I change my mind i will lose 10% of what I put down. \r \r I found out that the 1911 that I put on layaway could be had for about the same price BRAND NEW. So I came in to get my money back knowing I'd lose 25%. The clown behind the counter (who happened to be one of the managers) told me that he would have to take 10% of the value of the gun. I told him that's unacceptable, his employee told me that I'd only lose 10% of what I put down. So he lost a customer AND on top of that I've been spreading negative reviews about this business everywhere on base and off base and to my Fire department. As well as writing as many negative reviews online as I can. Judging by other reviewers I must say that this place doesn't deserve to be in business. All of the workers there are a few sandwiches short of a picnic, especially the manager. (if I'm not mistaken his name was Josh) but I don't care to remember the names of pieces of trash like that. \r \r Anyway, I didn't lose too much money and I could have disputed the charge on my card but the money I've lost is nothing compared to the business they have lost from me and other potential customers \r \r more

Its funny looking at some of the gun choices people are complaining about on here. Maybe its because youre a bunch of idiots that dont know anything about guns. ha ha I go to Jims to look, never buy anything in there. its a joke. Only Privates-Spec4s that waste all their bonus money buy crap in there. Of course theres all the idiots that dont know any better. Go to shooters if you want to buy, Jims is for looking. so is Guns Plus (Price PLUS extra). A fool and his money are soon parted, plenty of fools in fayetteville. Buying overpriced crap one week, flogging it to pay the bills the next............ Keeps Jims and Guns plus in business.. more

I have shopped at Jim's for almost my entire life. The reason for such is that they stand behind what they sell. The sales staff is knowledgable and have never led me down the wrong path in selecting the right product. Plus, they have a great shooting range and large selection if ammunition. more

I bought 3 pistols from them with my concealed permit. I bought 2 of them for my wife and one for me. Both of my wife's pistols didn't work properly because the guy at the counter tried to ""demonstrate"" how to take them apart and forgot to put pieces back into them and lost them. They did repair them after a weeks wait and very very RUDE service. My pistol is good because I never let them touch it and because it's a Springfield XD. They are EXTREMELY RUDE to my wife when she calls them up with any kind of question about a holster or anything else for her gun. I will never buy another thing from them again. more

After a couple trips into Jims husband and I concluded that the place was not customer friendly. Every single sales guy seemed to have a constipated look about them and certainly not eager to assist. I suspect their pay reflects this and the owner needs to be shot for not providing incentives to motivate these guys. Many pro gun people would love to be surrounded with the stores cha'kys and talk about them = sales. But thus crew seems washed out with no interest and little backbone. Sad really because they have a good selection and prices ok. Trust me here, if you want as good of a selection and sim prices but GREAT customer service hit Guns Plus in spring lake. Even when they are busy, when your turn comes around they focus on you and your needs and it translates to sales. Note...in no way affiliated with guns plus, just a better alternative. more

Be careful when buying used weapons such as police trade in pistols. They will take whatever accessories that came with them and sell them separately. I purchased a Sig P6 from them and when I asked if they had extra mags the sales clerk said no. I found out later from another employee the pistols came with 2 magazines and a holster but Jims removed the extras. Their used weapons are very over priced. For example; I sold them a 30-06 rifle with scope and sling. I was happy with what they gave me but was amazed a few days later when I was back in there to use the range the rifle I sold was on the shelf minus the scope and sling and priced at double what they gave me for everything. If you want to look at a lot of different weapons it is a good place to go. Just do some price research before you buy anything. These guys talk crap to Military because most young soldiers act respectful instead of telling them to shove it. They have very good general knowledge about guns...... go in and ask them any reasonably difficult question about firearms and they will revert to some type of excuse. They do not have formal firearms training. One guy acts like he knows what he's talking about and then they all repeat it like they though of it themselves. Pathetic. They seem really upset at you if you even ask to have them order anything that they don't have. Customer service is full of arrogant don't know it alls. Ive bought 3 handguns and 2 shotguns. I got good deals on all of my guns. You stop buy from time to time to get deals. The staff is a bit serous, but really there selling guns not ice cream. Pros: a lot of guns, great staff Cons: some stuff is a little pricey more

They get one star because there are no half-stars. I called them today to ask about some specialty ammo and the guy says it might be in the back; to call back in a few days. If it might be in the back, why not walk back there and check? Why not look it up in the system? Why not take my number and check and then call me? more

These reviews on this website are pulled from the very few good ratings of other sites. Most of which are anonymous,about the range or CCW not sales, and are very vague in their ""praise"". I signed up to this site for the sole purpose of warning potential customers. The attitude of the sales persons is horrid, bordering on disrespectful. Their prices are not what they should be and their merchandise is questionable (lots of carbon and wear on their ""new"" guns beyond test firing). Read all the reviews from other sites!!! please!! These guys, like other Ft.Bragg gun shops, are right out mean to soldiers because they know most soldiers are respectful to civies Pros: Decent selection Cons: everything else more
