I am soooo disappointed with Jean Paul, and will NEVER return there, or refer anyone to that place they claim is a professional spa and hair salon! They cut my hair once, and it is the last time I will ever step foot in there! They portray themselves as being an elite hair salon? The woman who cut my hair was about 50 years old, dressed like she was 25, and doesn't know what 2 to 3" off means! She left 2 inches on my head!!!
My hair was in the middle of my back, thick and naturally curly when I stepped in there. When I left, I looked like Florence Henderson from the Brady Bunch (no joke, I have pictures to prove it). She cut all of the curls out, razored it so that it's all uneven and frizzy now (can not razor curly hair unless you are properly trained in doing so)! It's a disgrace, and I have never been more depressed in my life!!! The two sides were uneven, and the worst part of it all was the so called stylist thought her work of art was a masterpiece. I immediately showed my disapproval and dislike, and was appalled when they held out their hands for payment! I had to pay for my hair to be chopped off against my wishes??
I cried all the way home!!! After a sleepless night, and knowing I couldn't let this happen to someone else, I returned the next day to speak with the manager. I mean come on....What gives a sylist a right to do whatever they please to your hair? The manager herself was even appalled! She couldn't believe the chop job I had, and didn't offer an explanation for the stylist! She was speechless! I was sure to bring in photos of my hair taken only days before it was hacked off. I will say that the manager was extremely sympathetic, and she listened to my concerns, and totally understood how I felt. She introduced me to a very professional stylist who brought me into a private room to fix my uneven mullet! They also compensated me with free products, but never offered my money back on the God awful hair cut! The other thing is that when I arrived there for the cut the day before, I specifically told the receptionist that I have very thick, very curly hair, and need to be appointed to someone with experience!!!!
The receptionist obviously just threw me to the older woman thinking she had experience because of her age???? When speaking to the manager the next day, she even disclosed that the stylist DOES NOT have experience with thick hair.
My hair has grown a couple of inches since that awful experience, but I do have to wear it up EVERY SINGLE DAY. I cannot wear it down, or get a corrective cut just yet. I have to wait a couple of months before another REAL stylist will even touch it! They can't believe that I even considered going to Jean Paul. I learned my lesson, and Jean Paul better be careful, because if I were the owner, I would be worried about being sued!
Hopefully the money I paid will contribute to some extensive training classes for that stylist.
Pros: No Pros at this place!
Cons: They Need Further Training
