Editorial review from Citysearch 4/29/2013

I went to doctor Middleton for severe abdominal pains through Instacare. Just as Stu M. has stated, I was demeaned and made to feel VERY uncomfortable around this doctor. He behaved as if I was arguing against everything he said-though I wasnt saying a word! I was simply nodding and listening. \r \r I was not instructed to sit back up after he did his ""pressing"" over my abdomen to check for god-knows what whilst in a smock. He continued during the majority of my consultation to touch and grab my entire stomach area, even getting a bit too close to the breasts... I was so severely uncomfortable that I didnt know what to say or do so I eventually just sat up of my own accord. I was given a LECTURE on how I did not have any ulcers, and that the tests werent worth his time and was issued a prescription for irritable bowel syndrome. So far this medicine has only been a super-tum, making it easier to have taco bell. \r After he left (without any instruction on whether to return to reception or anything!) my husband, who had been sitting in said that he felt uncomfortable with his 'prodding.' So I know it wasnt just me! \r I was given no information about the prescription I was issued such as lifestyle changes etc. So I ended up calling before pick-up. When doing this I decided to inform the head nurse of my discomfort and ill-treatment and asked her to make the appropriate person aware of this. Im sure she did no such thing. \r Ill be seeing Doctor Moore for a second opinion. more

Worthless 4/20/2012

My wife had a severe cough, so we went to InstaCare for help. We were told we'd pay $75 up font, and possibly more upon departure (depending on the nature of the visit). I rarely give negative reviews, but people need to be aware of what followed: Dr. Jon A. Middleton was downright rude to my wife. He demeaned her, made her feel uncomfortable and offered her no constructive advice whatsoever. In all, the visit cost us $95... for nothing. Furthermore, a few weeks later, we received a bill for an ADDITIONAL $59 for a throat swab. This was an another unpleasant surprise, as we were never informed that it would cost extra. On the phone, we had a chance to tell an InstaCare representative about Dr. Jon A. Middleton's poor service. They apologized with nothing more than a verbal shrug. It may be that there are better doctors here, but - considering our experience - I would HIGHLY discourage wasting your time, money and emotion here. Unlike us, do some homework first. Ask around. Find a more reputable institution and a real doctor. more

Poor Service, Bad bedside manner, lousy communication 7/20/2011

The doctors here are lousy! I do not trust their judgement. I went in with a kidney infection. The doctor repeatedly poked and prodded and said, ""I think you just have some strained back muscles"" Idiot! I have had kidney infections before so I know what it feels like. He sent me home with some pain killers to mask the symptoms. Well guess what the urine culture said? ...positive! I tried disputing the charges just for the doctor's portion and while the ""board"" was reviewing my case billing sent my invoice to collections so I now owe $335 for NOTHING! I would have been much better off waiting the weekend to see a real doctor. more

Lousy diagnosis, No follow up care 1/11/2010

I went in with a very sore throat. I saw a doctor and he was sure I had strep. The test came back negative, so he just assumed it was viral and sent me on my way with no diagnosis or anything. The whole time I spent with the doctor was less than 5 minutes. 3 days later my whole mouth is swollen and red and painful. I wanted to get in and see the doctor again, well he isn't in of course, and If I want to see another doctor it's a whole new visit and we start all over again. Worthy of note is that I don't have insurance and paid $153 right out of my pocket for that 5 minute visit and strep test. Nothing else was done for me and nothing else looked into. If I go back it's another $150 just to be seen again. Even though the original Diagnosis was wrong. I am very displeased. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Pros: it was close Cons: it was expensive more

Great care, lousy billing! 1/9/2008

The clinic was a God-send when I got sick while on vacation; however, getting a copy of the bill for my insurance after I returned home was a nightmare. Thankfully, I eventually got in touch with a lovely you woman who took care of the paperwork for me. Several months of frustration was resolved in fifteen minutes. Pros: They get my recommendation only because of the work of the last person I spoke with who resolved my billing issues. Cons: The lack of response to messages or requests. more
