Incredible Pets

I myself am a previous employee. I loved going to Incredible Pets as a kid, but working there has since changed my mind. Being belittled and talked down to by management (All family members of the owner) on a daily basis, while being expected to care for and maintain hundreds of animals and cater to customers in just a few hours by yourself for minimum wage gets old very quickly. Not to mention they have many reptiles cramped in cages much too small so they are constantly stressed out and thus more aggressive. Many of their reptiles have mites and I have read many accounts of their fish being treated with "ich" as well. I myself was not paid for about 5 hours of work on my first paycheck, and my neighbor's kid had a similar experience a few years ago. Pete and Linda (the owners) would not pay the boy until his father (my neighbor) went in and had a word with them. Overall they have a lot of cool stuff that nowhere else around here has, the store is extremely nice but I will not go back there. Small businesses should be good to their customers and employees but after my experiences and reading their reviews online Incredible Pets doesn't really seem to give a hoot about either. Strongly suggest doing some research online about them before spending 3x the price of what you would pay at Petsmart or on the internet. Might save you money in the long run more

Went to incredible pets, fell for package deal,, 72 hours later I was at the vet. Spent 170$ trying to rid it of the bacteria it came with. Don't fall for package deals. more

I purchased a baby red foot tortoise just before closing in Monday. I saw an ad on Facebook which quoted the price at $50. When I called the store to inquire I was told that they did not know about the ad but would ask the manager. The manager offered a package price and I was quoted a price. When I got to the store the package price was higher than what I wa quoted by $100. Again we were on the phone with the manager he would not honor the price I was given on the phone but we agreed on a price that was higher than quoted by $30. The staff was very patient and nice to deal with. When I got home the light in my package was not the right size for the box but I thought it would word. The very next morning the tortoise would not eat. By Friday morning it did not look good. I took it to Avian and Reptile Clinic of Palm City and was told that she was severely impacted and full of clostridium (a bacteria that comes from soggy old vegetables). She had to be given an injection of antibiotic and also had a respiratory infectin. I had only had her for 72 hours. I went back to refund the light and after a phone call with the manager I was told they would only refund the light AFTER I paid full price for the sick tortoise. Not a good experience! more

People there are both knowledgeable and caring. You can actually interact with the animals. If you're looking for a bird it's a great place, but babies are sold as fast as they come in. No dogs or cats but almost anything else. more

The name of this shop says it all. This is the best pet shop that I have ever been to. They have the most variety of exoctic pets and they offer them at excellent prices. This is where I picked up my Bearded Dragon for $39.99 where at Petsmart they sell for $69.99. If you want to check our some cool animals I would suggest you take a couple of hours out of your day and spend it at incredible pets. The only thing I can say bad about this place is that it has a bit of a foul smell but nothing too horrible. more

I've been a happy customer of this store since they were in their old location, off of Sarno road. The store is large, bright, and clean. There's lots of parking too. The location is convenient, and the staff is just wonderful. They really know their stuff, even when it comes to the really strange pets. Kids love this store, I think its like a field trip to them! They offer some boarding for hurricanes, which is wonderful! They have this crazy bird, that I think is a permanant fixture in the store. It's a large red bird, that occasionally talks. People love him (her?). The prices are good, and it's a GREAT place to get an aquarium going. They really know what they're talking about, and have a great selection. more

This is a great place! If you are looking to enjoy some time, stop by and see all the snakes, birds, lizards and a HUGE turtle. This turtle is over 200 years old, and he is just amazing. If you need pet food, or supplies, it's the place for you. Bird toys, lots of colorful parrots and Macaws, be sure to say Hi to Ruby the red Macaw. She is one of the house birds who are not for sale. Gonzo is a green parrott and he teaches the young birds to talk. You will get a chance to see some pretty exotic animals here at times. The help is very knowledgeable but why are they always looking for reptile help? Doesn't open till 10 AM and closes promptly at 7 PM> Open Monday through Saturday. IT's hard not to smile while you are here. I love to hold the birds while here. more
