IKEA is a great place to buy all kinds of things: furniture, housewares, bedding, carpets, curtains, giftwrap supplies, gardening supplies, pet supplies, and more. It can be a bit overwhelming if you've never been there or if you're not sure what you're looking for. I recommend getting a catalog and browsing first. Furniture is not of highest quality, but it looks modern and is very affordable. Most items need to be assembled at home. Try their swedish meatballs in the cafeteria or take a bag home. It's not bad. They have lots of fun places for kids to play inside, including a childcare center for potty-trained kids. It's a fun place to go (as long as it's not a busy Sat. or Sun).
