Learn from a LEGEND!!! 3/28/2011

Hurricane martial arts center is the best in the upstate, and who wouldn't want to learn shotokan from a man who puts it to use. Two time WORLD champion kevin hudson, not only is he a great teacher but you couldn't ask for a better person. 5 stars for me! more

Best Martial Arts in the Upstate!!! 2/16/2011

HMA offers the BEST KARATE & KICKBOXING in the Upstate! I have been going there for several years and have witnessed outstanding teaching, performance, and encouragement. We are there spending time as a family multiple times each week, staying fit and building positive relationships. Master Hudson, 'Kyoshi', is a wonderful role model for young men and has a heart of gold to help anyone. HMA offers after school care for local elementary students, holds classes for everyone 6 days a week, and sponsers several families at Christmas each year. What a community-friendly establishment! more

I would strongly recommend that you take a look at Hurricane Martial Arts. If you are looking to better yourself and enhance yourself physically, there's no better place to do so than HMA. Kevin and his team are very professional, polite and nurturing. They really care about you getting the best out of whatever program you are a part of, whether it be Karate, Kickboxing, or All Around Fitness. I understand that they also now have an After School Program for kids on weekdays. Sure wish they had something like that when I was a kid. Give them a call today. You'll be glad you did. more

Hurricane Martial Arts is the best thing to happen to my family in a long long time 12/15/2008

I have been attending Hurricane Martial Arts for 2 years now. You absolutly cannot ""buy"" your black belt. It takes hard work and dedication. If you dont have that then you just wont make it. Im wondering if the last poster even sat down and talked to Master Hudson about their problems. I had problems paying my tuition almost to the point i was going to have to quit. He helped me out tremendously. Im a student living off of student loans with 2 children who also attend HMA. Master Hudson is easy to work with. The training I recieved so far will stay with me a lifetime. Pros: friendly, no egos, learning focus, helpful in real world applications. Cons: I cant go everyday is the only con i can think of more
