Great place for healthy food 9/7/2005

I went to Honest Weight for the first time about 6 months ago. I liked it so much that I know make bi weekly trips. There is a very large selection of healthy foods. They have a huge section of organic produce, a large vegan and vegetarian section and a health and beauty product section. The also have a prepared foods section. The prices are slightly higher than the regular supermarket, but the quality of the food is much higher. The parking lot does seem to be too small for the amount of people who shop here, and the location is not great, but those are my only complaints. Overall, I would defintely recommend this place. more

Great place if you don't like meat 8/16/2005

This place is a great place if you are trying a vegetarian diet. They have lots of great vegetables and fruit and such and the prices are fairly reasonable. Even if you aren't a vegetarian you should still give this place a try for fixings to add to your meat dishes. Try the hummous, especially. more

Organic/Natural Food Store 8/13/2005

Pretty much Albany's only option for shopping if you are into Organic and all Natural food and supplies. No meat or meat products - it is a vegan store for the most part. It has a decent selection, pretty good prices and a GREAT cheese department. Offers grocery, deli, produce, bulk, cheese, health and beauty aids, some pet supplies. A co-op, but it is open to the public. One of the only places I can find the cream top yogurt that I like. I would like it more if they sold meat, fish and poultry. more

The Best in Organic! 8/10/2005

Honest Weight Food Co-op has the best selection of natural and organic food in the area. The prices are outstanding even if you are not a member. They have an entire aisle dedicated to bulk items and an entire health an beauty section. The cheese selection is the best in the area! more

Best Organic/Natural food store 8/2/2005

If you are looking for natural, organic foods, look no further than Honest Weight Food Co-op. It carries everything from vegetables to coffee, cereals, bulk items such as nuts, rice, flours fruits, eggs, environmentally friendly fish, beauty/health care items, etc. Honest Weights greatest treasure is its cheese department. It was rated best cheese department in the Capital Region. You can go in there and sample cheeses from around the world. The cheese manager knows everything there is about cheese and is able to help you. more
