my insurance recommended hi-tech to me and since it was the closest body shop to my apartment, i chose to go there.
huge mistake.
not only did it take SIX WEEKS for me to get my car back, but they did not keep me up to date on the process until i called them about three weeks in and lost my mind. after that, john, the manager, called me everyday.
every time he called he told me that there was something new wrong with my car, or that they'd ordered the wrong part (this happened THREE times) or they didn't know when i'd be getting my car back. i was even told that they weren't going to fix the damage done to my front bumper because i allegedly hadn't ""informed them of this damage"". even though i had the car put on the lift during the estimate so they could check for any damage. the person doing the estimate had forgotten to mention it in the report.. that was eventually settled, but it added more time to my repair.
by the end of the six weeks, i was so fed up and all i wanted was my car back. i picked it up on a tuesday, and three days later, john called to ask me if anyone had informed me that my motor mount was damaged and it wasn't accident-related. weird how they forgot to mention that when i picked the car up huh? as.the car was brand new when i bought it and had no damage, it was either something that occurred during the accident or they had somehow messed it up.
john even had the audacity to say to me, ""well it's not like your motor will fall out or anything.""
that's good to hear, glad that your wyotech educated employees managed to further damage a car that was already demolished in an accident.
my interior lights and day-time running lights are now screwy and flickering on and off while i'm driving. they had NO reason to touch anything on the dashboard and yet they did.
i would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, nor would i return to this shop for any further work. god only knows what else is wrong with my car and i will definitely be taking it to another shop to get it repaired.
