I just don't know where to start. we chose this apartment since it was supposedly upgraded incomparison to the other apartments in the area. We should have listen to the reviews of this place; however, we were under some serious time constraints, so we just settled. We viewed an apartment with another couple and asked various questions. One question stood out was, do we have to repaint the wall after we change the color. The answer was no, as long as it is primed. I asked this twice, and even the other couple had to tell me nah it's okay just as long as it is primed. So I said that is good, we still have some primer paint with color tint. The manager said that's good. Here we are being told that we can't use paint with primer and they need to repaint the walls. We asked through email if we were told to not repaint why do you charge us the money since it's primer paint. She tells us that since the color can't come off with just one coat, we need to charge. It costed us 112.56 per wall, She complained about 1 wall not being able to be covered but still charged us 112.56 per wall. Also, cleaning fees, If the apartment is not clean to their standards. Becareful when you get this apartment and ask for everything in writing. The carpet wasn't new when we rented the space. The reason I know is because there were some stains near the pantry which obviously looked like pet stains. We requested from the start that we did not want any spaces just recently owned by pet owners due to allergic reasons. My wife had a sneezing fit. I had to vacuum continuosly and over spray certain chemicals just to get the smell out. It wasn't something I can count on from management. The only high note I can say is the lighting at night, and the shrubs were kept clean. Also the Maintenance can respond quickly. Our apartment experience has turned horrible due to hidden fees and unhelpful executives who run the office. They do have some functions that can entice current residents; however, I'm beginning to think it's to cover up their thievery.
