Another bad job! 3/26/2010

Our home was destroyed by Hurricane Ike on Bolivar Peninsula, Crystal Beach. \r I am disabled, we were trying rebuild our disabled daughter a new home, by having Heavenly Lane Construction set pilings.\r Not only are they not deep enough to pass county inspection, they are off set by as much as 8 inches in some areas. Only half the pilings are in the ground, the rest are warping ON the ground. I had to leave for 23 days. While I was away, he made my wife buy extra loads of unnecessary dirt, because he didn't pay attention to my instructions about coming through the neighbors yard with his piling truck. So he spread this extra unnecessary dirt with his bobcat. He messed up our yard, displaced puddles in the yard, which flooded our septic tank. Then had the gall to ask my wife for money. The flooded septic tank then caused a clog. My wife couldn't bathe our daughter, wash clothes or dishes for 8 days!!!! He now claims he wants to bill us for FREE EXTRA work he did around here! He drove his bobcat across our field line on our septic and crushed it. Made tracks in our yard near our septic tank. When my wife asked him to move some of the dirt and smooth the ruts, he ran over the top of our tank, cracked it, broke the lid, and dumped a load of dirt into our septic tank. Now he refuses to fix all the damages he caused. \r He ran over an expensive gate and bent it all to pieces. My daughter had several pets buried in our yard, he ran over them so many times, the grave markers are gone. \r And he still hasn't touched the pilings!! Pros: Can talk you into anything. Cons: Won't do anything he talks you into. more

no heavenly work done 7/7/2009

We accepted a bid on January 18, 2009 for $7452.00 and a second bid on Jan. 20, 2009 for $8500.00. Neither project was completed. We have talked to Heavenly Construction every other week since Feb 21, 2009 to make arrangements to come out and finish. They have made one excuse after another. They will not even send out a representative to inspect our complaints much less sent out a crew to finish up the the kitchen backsplash, plumbing in the kitchen to include dish washer and disposal, minor extrior brick repair and poorly installed floor tile. Our next step is to call TRCC at (877) 651-TRCC and register a complaint and request inspection of their poor and incomplete work. Pros: polite Cons: no promises kept more

We accepted a bid the end of January 2009 for a project that we were told by Heavenly Lane Construction would take two to three weeks at the most. The project was to make our kitchen and bathroom ADA accessible which would consist of building a pantry in the kitchen, installing new cabinets, countertops, & tile. The bathroom project was to install a new bathtub, new tile, & install handicap grab bars. It is now the middle of June 2009. We have had FOUR sub-contractors here and the work is still NOT completed. The first crew was fired after three days because of personal behavior problems, the second crew installed floor tile on the walls, ruined one bag of grout and walked off with the second bag, broke the bathroom window, broke some home furnishings, would show up some days at two or three in the afternoon...somedays we heard noting from them, eventually they were fired, the third crew never showed up at all, now the fourth crew has been here since April 2009. Some days they show up , some days they don't. As we write this review, we have been calling the sub contractor since last Wednesday (6 days ago) with no response from him. Heavenly Lane tells us that the sub contractor is having personal problems but will be here ""today."" Today never happens. My mother-in-law passed away on April 26, 2009 and our bathroom for our guests had no tile, no vanity or sink...only a toilet. Heavenly Lane has a letter from my doctor stating a ""medical need"" for the projects, as I am disabled. That letter was written to them several months ago. So five months later and six thousand dollars ""LOST"", we are still without the projects we've paid for. The company, Service Majic which advertise for Heavenly Lane Construction has since dropped them from their services and according to Service Majic, are no longer sending referrals to them for work projects. We've heard every story, every excuse...there is nothing else to say other than...be very, very careful if you even consider this company. Heavenly Lane, nor the sub contractors have NEVER been here while any work was being done...they DO NOT supervise their workers. Heavenly Lane was last in our home in April after I had surgery and only then because I needed my bath tub and couldn't use it and we called and insisted that they come and see ALL of the problems. Again, the work has not been supervised by ANYONE ! We are presently pursuing legal action and we are also reporting this to the Attorney General's Office. Cons: unreliable more
