I think I may be getting treated unfairly by Hartzell's Pharmacy in Catasauqua. We were given a price upfront for renting a wheelchair for two weeks by the sales clerk at checkout. We commented how the $52 was cheaper than we were expecting and cheaper than told over the phone for 2 weeks of rental. The sales clerk said that is good news that should cheer me up. That $52 for weeks was the selling point for us signing up for two weeks. Well, two weeks after I returned the wheelchair rental, I got another bill that the price they charged me was only for one week and now they wanted another $52 for the second week. I really feel that the sales staff went out of their way to mislead us. When we returned the wheelchair, my wife even asked if we owned anything else, and they told us 'no'. I called to complain right away on a Friday and was told that there was no one left in the office to discuss it with me. I was assured someone would call me back on Monday to discuss it. I heard nothing and again left another message on their voice mail for their billing staff. Still waiting for someone in charge to explain to me why I was told one thing by their sales staff and got a contradictory bill later. For future medical equipment needs, I am avoiding this place.
