A Baltimore landmark Well Worth the Trip 9/11/2011

I have been an Maryland Antique Dealer for 25 Years , Although I live out in the country it has always been worth the extra ride for me to visit Milt . I have have dealt with Harford Coin Co. for many years and have always been treated fairly . When I have unique items to sell it is my first stop , I have never been unhappy . I have never felt that Milt was trying to ""Low-Ball"" me . He is honest and knowledgeable and not everything turns out to be a ""Home-Run"" , but that is the nature of the business . \r \r I am also a Coin buyer, mostly as an investment for my Grandson I wouldn't go anywhere else . You can buy with confidence knowing that the staff at Harford Coin has accurately graded and represented every coin . There is a good reason they have been around so long . \r \r Their professionalism has stood the test of time. \r \r \r more

Highly recommended!!! 9/10/2011

I have been collecting coins off and on for about 60 years and have been a regular customer of Harford Coins for about 25 years, so I know something about buying, selling, and trading coins. I am really appalled at some of the negative comments about Harford. ""Offering less than face value on silver coins""? ""rude and condescending""? ""ripping off (someone) that knew nothing about coins""? I doubt if any dealer could stay in business for almost fifty years if he treated customers like that. Would I be a regular customer of such a dealer? \r \r There is nothing wrong with not being knowledgeable about coins. But when an experienced, honest dealer gives you the benefit of his expertise, be civil. Don't get angry if you don't get what YOU think they are worth. He is the expert and that is why you went to him in the first place. more

Harford coin not that great.. BEWARE 8/15/2011

What coin collector says is true. There are two young guys and one older guy. The older guy was o.k but busy ripping the hell off some guy that knew nothing about coins. I watched him literally give less than face value on silver coins (and i don't mean spot price) They low balled me on a gold coin i was trying to sell and started talking about how quick gold will drop. The young guys there are rude and very unprofessional. If you have coins do yourself a favor and get several quotes before you go to them. unepclec@yahoo for further questions more

Rude, Condescending, Unprofessional 4/18/2011

This company has a great radio commercial airing on WCBM. Classy and professional sounding. I visited the store and found the owner speaking to a customer (young guy), very condescending and rude. Offered 25% back of spot on a Peace Dollar. Low balled the customer on several coins. The owner got upset when the customer had several questions. Declined to do the deal and stated he didn't have time to mess with him. Very disappointed. more

Taken advantage of 2/7/2009

The owner of this business is a cheister ,he tried to pay me a third of what an item was worth because of my apparent lack of knowledge.I am amazed that people like this are allowed to operate more
