I had the chance to meet Josh Johnson and Derk Chaney of Hansons Windows. I had gotten an email from Hansons and I responded to it and had an appointment set up to discuss windows. My home is only 6 years old but I hate the windows. One of them had fallen in when I was cleaning it last year and I have yet to clean them this year. They are single hung and I have to get a ladder out and a squeegy out to clean the upper part. I was just going to listen and, yes you are right, I am ordering my new windows from Hansons. I think I surprised both Josh and Derek when they called in for credit. I told them it was good and they were really surprised that I could go over double the price of the windows for one year same as cash. I am glad that I am able to help the economy in Michigan and I feel confident that the windows are going to be a big improvement in the house. more

Just wanted to take a quick moment to share my first experience with Hansons Windows and to also mention the generous promotional discount price they offered me on my recent window purchase. I was very pleased with my sales person (Leo Szlamkowicz). He was prompt, knowledgeable about the product, friendly and very personable to work with. Not once did he pressure me into signing an agreement or even hint of me signing. I value that. I hate being pushed into a corner. All the questions I asked, (and I had several) he had an acceptable answer. I never felt rushed or like he needed to cut our appointment short because he had somewhere else to be. I felt like a valued customer, and I hadn't even purchased anything yet! I look forward to having my new windows installed. Just wanted to share a positive comment! more

The presentation of Hansons Windows by Mr. Wayne Robert this past evening was most enjoyable, and resulted in a sale. Please understand that the action of signing a contract last evening was highly unusual in that I (in all business transactions) get multiple quotes, and did have other appointments scheduled in the next few days, which will be cancelled. The professionalism and ???no pressure??? approach by Mr. Robert was much appreciated by my wife and I, as other ???slimy??? high pressure salespeople that came to our residence, left without a contract. Mr. Robert listened to our needs, and in one instance of concern, contacted other Hanson personnel for a confirmation of an answer to a major question about my wife???s abundant house plant collection. I only give credit where warranted, therefore this compliment for Mr. Robert should be taken seriously. more

We had an issue with our 2 yr. old roof 1/11/2012

We had an issue with our 2 yr. old roof and a squirrel; an installer from 1-800-HANSONS inspected and recommended a repair. It was scheduled and Dan Johnson came out. No one told him what the repair was, so I was lucky that I was there so I could describe the problem so that he could find the gap between the roof and the trim. He was energetic and helpful and resolved the issue to our complete satisfaction. We don't want to share our roof and below with any creatures! Thanks. more

We had replacement windows installed 1/11/2012

We had replacement windows installed last October by Hansons Windows and recently siged a contract to replace more windows. I can't tell you how wonderful the Hansons Windows team is. Last year's experience was great, but I have to say I thought it might be a fluke as no way could there be that many customer-oriented and cordial people working for one company! This year's experience went above and beyond. Starting with Ann Martin, your salesperson, who was such a joy to work with. The gentlemen who came to measure was so darn polite. But today was the best. Pete dropped by to make some minor repairs and what a personable guy. We spent some time chatting (not too long as I know he was on the clock) about our dogs and it was like having a friend over. You must be so proud of your employees. I worked for FedEx for 33 years and know what it's like working in a service industry. I commend you for instilling such a great work ethic in your staff. We love our new windows. Our experience with Hansons Windows started with Ira Henson and Joe Walter. They explained everything we needed to know about Hansons and windows. Frank and Josh came today and installed our windows. Thank you for making the whole process easy and stress free for us. The windows look great and everything happened as you promised. I am writing this because of the 1/11/2012

I am writing this because of the wonderful experience i had with Hansons Windows. My first impression was with sales rep Matt Czernel. He not only informed me of the windows, but he made me feel as though I was a part of the Hansons family. Matt's understanding and patience made me feel so confident that I was truly buying the best windows for the money that I was spending. My intention at first was to wait until next year to shop for windows, but when Matt mentioned the savings I would be receiving with the IQ glass, my heating bill alone would come down substantially. I knew that the Smart Choice package was the right choice for me. Even after I purchased the windows Matt stuck around for an additional 10 minutes to answer all of my questions and concerns. Matt also gave me his personal cell phone number for me to call for whatever and whenever i needed. That extra touch made me believe that Hansons really cares. The day of installation the crew showed up on time bright eyed and bushy tailed. They took care of business. They represented Hansons in the utmost professionalism i have not seen in a long time. I didn't think there were any more companies left out there that would give me 150 % satisfaction. I will never forget looking at my old windows as i was looking at my new ones being installed think to myself, boy I should have done this at least 10 years ago. The difference is night and day. Just when i thought it couldn't get much better Matt showed up and made sure that I was thoroughly happy. I was beside myself with the personal service I received from Matt. He is friendly and genuine and I will definitely recommend Matt to my friends and family as their personal sales Representative. An example of his great service is the day after my windows were installed, I contacted Matt because I was concerned there were water stains between the panes. After explaining my situation he notified me that he would personally come inspect then he expeditiously came right over to solve the problem. This is when we discovered these stains were easily removable. I can't thank him enough for his commitment to my needs. He assured me if I have any other issues in the future to feel free to contact him. Once again, I would like to thank Hansons Windows for their hard work and commitment and they will be highly recommended to others by me. more

I have loved everything so far from Hansons Windows. It is awesome. We had Jason from the Kalamazoo office out about 2 weeks ago, and he did such a wonderful job that we bought the best windows that you make, and a whole houseful of them too. Your phone center is wonderful, and they all deserve big ""atta girls and atta boys"". Heck, I have loved the experience so much, and know that you are ONE in a million people that own and run a decent, honest, and reputable company. This letter is to inform you of our great experience my wife and I had yesterday with Hansons Windows sales rep Gary Sutton. After meeting with a Wallside Windows rep a week prior, we were 99% sure we were going to buy. We figured we'd let Hanson's come back out and try again for a 2nd time. You'll have to talk to Gary about that scenario. Anyway, Gary was very professional, and presented us with the beset possible product. We understood why the prices were a little higher for a superior product, but we were more concerned about price at this point in the shopping process. Gary was more than happy to make us a deal, and we signed the paperwork right then and there. I feel secure in this purchase based on Gary's ability to explain the warranty and customer service capabilities that we'll be able to experience as Hanson's customers. Please let Gary know that we appreciated his visit, and he's the reason we're ordering from Hansons' and not Wallside. more

I just want to take this time to say 1/10/2012

I just want to take this time to say thank you for standing behind the work Hansons Windows did at 110 Whittemore Pontiac, MI 48342. When the gutter guards installed by Hansons started to come a loose I was worried that my $6,000.00 would go up in clogged gutter drains. My mother is a senior citizen and there is no one to do this type of work for her. So I called 1-800-Hansons and had gutter guards installed. I am so glad I did, because when I called a few weeks ago to let someone know, the gutter guards on the upstairs roof had come a bit loose. Not only did someone tell me that they would be out to look at the damage and repair it, they did. Thank you Brian Elias for doing good work and backing it up with good service. more

We're very pleased with our new siding 1/10/2012

We're very pleased with our new siding and gutters. The Hansons Windows crew was very friendly and professional. Rob and his guys answered all my questions completely. Nicole Charest called each and every day to make sure all was going well. She was also very nice and offered her assistance in any way she could be of help. We may be needing a roof in the near future and will keep 1-800-HANSONS in mind. more

I'm a first time customer of Hansons Windows,and if I have the need for more work this won't be my last time to call 1-800- Hansons. From the time I made the call to your 800 number,I was made to feel welcome and important,my job was only one large window but that didn't matter to your Sales Rep. Sean Schermer...He explained about the company,your product,your guarantee and the price. He answered all our questions and made sure we understood everything. I was given a time frame and the window was ready for installation right on time. Your Project Manager Nicole Charest contacted me and informed me of the installation date and made sure that was acceptable...She gave me her number and told me to call if there were any questions or problems. On the assigned day here comes the truck and my window...the installer named Jason and his helper (didn't get his name)...introduced himself ,went over everything he was going to do and set out to do just that. From the time he put the first drop-cloth down till he pulled out of my driveway, I can honestly say ,he was courteous and professional in his workmanship. He showed me the windows operation and explained that the chalk was still wet so be careful.... The same afternoon I got a call from Nicole to insure that all was done to my satisfaction... Mr.Elias,you have a professional team , and they all worked together to make this one window job, painless and I felt mine was the only job they had to do that month.They were a delight to meet and a pleasure to have come into my home. I thought I would drop you a line to let you know what an excellent professional service that my mom received from Mr. Dean Maccagnone. She was so impressed that soon as he left and provided us with your business card that I wanted to email you and tell you about our experience. He was early and he even offered to leave and come back at the appropriate schedule time, which was not an issue for me, She was actually glad that he was early. Dean was helpful in implementing a solution to her problem with the gutters. He was quite humerous but yet professional. He did a commendable job and she would like to express that he is a great asset to your company. He was very attentive to the customer's needs. He treated us like we were his family. I (her daughter) was impressed with Hansons Windows. I called today to inquire about having someone come out and give me my mom an estimate and the appointment was made today within a couple of hours of calling and the sales representative came out and gave a quote and filled out an application within an hours time (Very impressive service). Dean was so nice, friendly and showed great customers service skills. My mom actually felt comfortable ,relaxed ,entertained and not stressed while waiting for him to finish completing his paper work. She was not actually ready to make a decision on getting the job done but just get some estimates from different companies, but Dean helped her make the decision of going with Hansons Windows. Hanson Windows - Wasted Time - HIGH PRESURED SALES 9/19/2011

HIGH pressured sales expectations were met today. I think they match with Kirby guys in their efforts, tactics etc. to close you down NOW. Please read carefully not just my experience but be sure to read further.... comments dating back into 2008/2009 as well. I think a previous review states that Hanson staff has written glowing reviews recently. It must be since they all GLOW immediately after installation. I won't let it go that far. more

What a big mistake they were! 7/13/2011

I should have known from the start they were going to be a nightmare! The aggressive sales tactics described in previous reviews is EXACTLY the same experience i had with my sales rep. Being a new home owner in 2002, and never hearing anything bad about them at that time, I niavely signed a contract for almost $3000 for 5 windows including installation and a guarantee for the life of the home. Installation went as expected. Fast forward to three weeks ago when my front window sprang a major leak during a rain storm. Called them after water mitigation folks said that the original installation of the window was horrible and they showed me where and why. Made my phone call to have them come out immediately and fix it because after all the windows are guaranteed for the life of the home right? NOT! They want to charge me another $300 to reinstall the window correctly. After telling the mitigation folks that Hansons installed my windows they said that they are the WORST window company out there and that they have more restoration issues than any other company. So, guess what? If i have to pay for a window to be installed correctly, I will pay people that I trust to fix it correctly. I may lose out on the guarantee of the window....but it loks like th,ere isnt really a guarantee to begin with. DONT BUY HANSONS anything! EVER! more

The best decision we made was to go with 1-800-Hansons for new windows and siding. Our home looks great, and we also were able to obtain the federal tax credit. We are also noticing a difference in our energy bills compared to last year which helps, too. I?m glad that we will never have to paint our house again, and our new Hansons windows are well made and easy to clean. They did a wonderful job ? couldn?t be happier. Thanks Hansons! more

Energy efficient 6/7/2010

I did a lot of research on home improvement companies in the area prior to even getting estimates, and everything regarding Hansons Windows was above par. The quality of their windows, especially in terms of energy efficiency, is superb. Although a lot of companies claim that their windows qualify for the energy tax credit, the numbers speak for themselves ? check out Hansons windows? U Value, Solar Heat Gain and R Factor? they trump the competition. Pros: The most energy efficient windows I could find more

What a difference 5/10/2010

I just had new windows installed by Hansons 2 months ago and boy ? what a difference they have made. The drafts I used to feel in my living room and family room are gone and my recent consumers bill dropped by $100 compared to last year. Also, my new Hansons windows look great and are so easy to clean. I?m glad that I made this investment. It was painless from the quote I received - my salesman was very kind and informative - to the installation. Plus, the windows come with a lifetime guarantee.
