Wonderful training, beautiful facility, friendly atmosphere, morals to be proud of and great prices. There are no other dance studio's like it. We are so happy to be apart of the Hanover School of Ballet family. I would definetly suggest this studio as a first choice for anyone interested in a lifetime of wonderful memories. Nothing good to say about this studio. Dated instruction, little to no girls my daughters age, no modern dance, hip hop or other more current styles of dance. If you want your child to get a well rounded dance education this is NOT the place. Also after doing some reasearch this studio does not have a good reputation in the area. I have heard many horror stories from other parents about their time there and we wish we would have found this out before hand. The girls are very cliquey and did not make my daughter feel welcome at all. Some of the parents are another issue. Needless to say we will NOT be going back. Parents beware this is not the place you want to spend your hard earned money!!!!!! more

I am a Mother of a daughter that initially attended classes with Miss Debbie and the following year she was very blessed to become a member of the Hanover Ballet Childrens Company. This has been the most positive influence in my daughters life. She has learned many more valuable things about life being part of this wonderful group of girls and Miss Debbie is always fair and loving in her teaching methods. My daughter traveled to disney for competition but it wasn't just about competition, Miss Debbie added a week to this trip for the girls to have according to my daughter ""the best time of her life"" Yes my daughter spends 4-5 days at the studio but she is also currently a straight A student, participates in student council and has established some very good friendships with this group of girls and they have alot of fun together. This studio was voted # 1 studio in PA and there is no doubt in my mind why!! As stated earlier my daughter is blessed to have Miss Debbie and the company in her life and so am I!\r \r I believe I wrote a review in 2009 and…\r \r I believe I wrote a review in 2009 and 2011 so here we are and it is 2013. I continue to give this school of ballet and its Artistic Director Debbie Blume Byers the highest recommendations. My daughter is now 12 and has been with Miss Debbie since she was 6, she has grown into a wonderful warm and caring child and in my opinion is learning the best dance technique possible. If you want to know the final outcomes of her students its very simple - look at their final destinations, education and outcomes. Even if they do not continue with dance, Miss Debbie's Alumni are some of the brightest and successful young ladies I have met. I caution anyone when reading the negative reviews, the content I believe speaks for itself and is obviously authored by negative, spiteful and quite frankly jealous individuals.\r \r Miss Debbie does not show preference to her own daughters. My daughter is at times in the back, middle or front but we are not there for individual attention. It is simple my daughter is a company member to not only learn true classical ballet technique (because this is the basis for all forms of dance) but also because after several years I can honestly look at my young daughter and say I couldn't possible be prouder of her as an individual, a student, and a dancer. I believe with all my heart and soul this is a direct result of the time she spends with Miss Debbie and company. I have for years seen this place bring down many children's self esteem to only rise her own children's up, by making them the center of her show. \r I too was a dancer in a very big city, and found this schools performance to be extremely monotonous and outdated for 15+ years. \r Once I had children of my own I sought out for better. I refuse to send my child somewhere they would bring her spirit down but rather lift it up. To list a few studios that are excelling this studio in every way possible would be,\r \r Vibe-Gettysburg\r Greater York of Dance-York\r Savage Dance Company-Sykesville, MD\r \r Plus your children will learn from multiple instructors which will make them far more well rounded and more appealing in the world of professional dancing. more

I too would have to agree that this is no program for those interested in anything other than local notariaty and less than proper instruction. It has taken quite some time to undo what was improperly taught to my daughter at this school. more

The Hanover School of Ballet claims to offer the best in dance education in the South Central Pennsylvania area. If you really want your child to get a great education in ballet, then do yourself and your child a favor and send them to Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. The artistic director of The Hanover School of Ballet does not provide the type of training that a dancer would need should he/she want to become a professional. The style of class taught is not one that you would find in a professional setting. The technique taught is often in correct and has to be relearned upon entering a professional atmosphere. I would suggest doing alot of research before sending your child to the Hanover School of Ballet. Do not waste you money on incorrect training. I wish that when I was looking for ballet studios for my daughter I would have sent her straight to CPYB instead of HSB first! more

First of all, the Hanover School of Ballet is BY FAR the best studio in PA. People like ""Tamiam68"" obviously have no clue what they're talking about. This lady must be pretty psycho to think people actually use this website. Really Tamara? No wonder people can't stand you. Secondly, I happen to know the artistic director VERY well. I danced there since I was a baby and graduated from the company. I'd have to say, you're pretty known for trying to ruin businesses. You. Need. HELP.No one goes into a HIGH SCHOOL to complain about the food they're giving out to the kids. Here's a little advice. If it bothers you so much pack their lunch. Duh. Have a nice life trying to take over everyone's business. It's not going to work. Can't wait until you finally realize that. The Hanover School of Ballet is the BEST dance school to get your kid in, like the ladies above this ridiculous ladies post said. I love Miss Debbie so much. She's amazing. I can guarantee she is the reason I'm so far in the dance business. Without her I would be nowhere. My abilities outshine many due to the great techniques that she teaches every girl/boy that goes through the school. There are NUMEROUS amounts of people that have made it big because of her. She's my inspiration and I am SO proud to be able to tell people who made me this good. more
