Hamblen Pediatric Assoc

After 11 years experience with this practice I would never recommend anyone to them. I have 4 children all of which have been seen by a different doctor many times and they never remember us. The nurses and office staff is great but I just don't care for the doctors. One daughter had multiple ear infections from birth until 5 years old. They just kept giving antibiotics and husband had to get firm with the doctor and tell them he wanted her to go to ENT doc. Which she got surgery and the ENT doctor gave her a referral to the allergist, she now gets allergy shots and is doing wonderful. After 11 years of dealing with these docs they should kow us pretty well but one doctor called DCS on us after one child had bruising from where she fell off her bike. Now I know kids have to be protected but after 11 years never finding a bruise on the my children they now pull this crap?? Never again will my children see these doctors. They lost my 4 children along with friends, and nephews that saw t more

I have taken my granddaughter to medical appointments at Hamblen Pediatrics and found the staff to be caring and competent. All of my questions were answered and my granddaughter was smiling and comfortable throughout the visit because of the staff's wonderful communication skills with children. I have called and gotten quick responses to all of my questions. more

The physicians at Hamblen Pediatrics are very concerned about their patients. We have four children in our family, from ages 4 to 15, and we have always been pleased with the service and treatment received. We have called after-hours and gotten quick responses and have been met by the on-call physician at the E.R. When there was difficulty diagnosing what was wrong with one of the children, Dr. Bukovitz called the next day to check on her. Also, same day appointments are available for those who are ill. more

Since my daughter was born she has been treated at Hamblen Pediatrics. Dr. Salansky came to the hospital to give her a physical immediately after her birth. She has seen every doctor there, but our favorites are Dr. Bukovitz and Dr. Salansky. Every time that we have called with a question, even after hours, a nurse has given us a response and/or directions within a few minutes. On an emergency room visit, we were met by the on-call physician from Hamblen Pediatrics at the local emergency room. Once when my daughter was ill, and tests could not determine the exact problem and only symptoms could be treated, we received a call daily at home from Dr. Bukovitz to see if her condition was improving. A week later she went in the office for a follow-up exam. In addition, the nurse practitioners have always been very professional, friendly, and accurate with treatment. I stopped using Hamblen Pediatrics because I never knew which doctor (or nurse practitioner) we would end up seeing. I would make an appointment with my preferred doctor, only to arrive and find out that someone else was going to be seeing us that day. I was also unimpressed with the response we received when we had to call in for advice. In general, they were not willing to offer any information over the telephone. We were treated like a number there. I repeatedly requested that they call my son by his preferred name, yet they never did (but our new pediatrician does!). more

Both of my children go to Hamblen Pediatrics to see the doctors there. Most of the time however they see Dr. Salansky. However, Ashley likes Dr. Powell also. And Dennis does well with Dr. Wilkenson. I do not however agree with some of the things they do, for instance, having Ashley come back 3 times in one week was a little nerve racking, and we still never found out what was wrong with her. But, they have did good with Dennis, so we are very grateful for that. Dr. Salansky helped save Dennis' life when he was born. And that is something we will never forget, she is a special person. more
