Ham & Eggs

Although the portions are still Texas-sized, the food quality has declined to so-so. After eating some of the pancakes, we discovered that the bottom was burnt. Of course, that side was down when served.The cream gravy lacked flavor and tasted like a powdered mix. Previously, this was a great breakfast stop. Now, it's not worth the trip. We will NEVER go back. more

I do have to say the food is very good. My first breakfast there that got me hooked was a breakfast with two perfectly cooked eggs over easy, incredible potatoes, a plump and juicy pork chop, perfectly seasoned, and of course, the HUGE biscuit with gravy. That thing has its own gravitational field, it’s so big! The mammoth biscuit was perfectly baked and was at just the right amount of softness and crumbliness. The coffee is nice and strong, also. We’ve always gone for breakfast, but I’m doing lunch next week to see what that’s like. Word of warning – it’s cash or check only. I highly recommend this restaurant, and Jackie Shields is a trip. Wonderful lady. We actually talked with her after we ate, and my wife made a new best friend. more

The pancakes are bigger than your head and can feed 4. The omlets fill up half a plate, and the biscuts are the skyscrapers of the breakfast world. If you are REALLY hungry and breakfast is the only thing that will satisfy check out Ham & Egg in Lewisville. All the food is tasty, hot and made to order. You won't walk away from the table hungry but you may be carrying take out boxes with left over food. The resteraunt boasts sports memorabilia from local teams that have come in to feed thier big appitites and published information about the owners. Worth the wait. They are open 6am till 2pm every day. more

I love this place! It is quite a travel to get to it but well worth it. The pancakes are HUGE! I've seen small pizzas that are smaller then their pancakes. And their idea of a "short stack", maybe if you have the appetite of a family of 4...5...maybe even 6! Their omlettes are not far behind it. They stretch across the entire plate. The food is wonderful and very reasonably priced. Only downfall I have found is that last time I went they still weren't accepting credit cards and I had to search for my check book to pay for our meal. If you have cash its no biggie but I usually just carry the plastic! more

Ham and Eggs is a wonderful restaurant. They serve breakfast all day long. They have the best tasting breakfast foods you have every tasted!! They serve everything from scrambled eggs to migas. The restaurant is small so it is a very quaint little place. The service is impecable and this restaurant should not be passed up on the weekends when you are hungry for a delicious breakfast! more
