After paying for new shoes, and looking all over for a quality shoe repair place I was referred to hakky. These guys have really saved a few pairs of my shoes and boots. Not only that, but they sold my mother a great pair of orthapaedic shoes and insoles that have really done wonders for her back and legs! You are definately getting what you pay for. They are very personable and very experienced. more

I've been going to Hakky for awhile now, and besides the great service, I was treated very friendly. If I need them fixed promptly they do it! They have plenty of regulars that only go there and are love the owner too. While I was waiting for my shoes to be fixed, an old woman walked in with a decorated basket of fruit, just for the gentlemen because they had pleased her so much over the years! They have been in business for a long time I hear, and it certaintly shows in their work! I'm sure any defensive attitude the man below might have experienced, was just a response to his rude attitude. I have been going here for awhile now and I do not ever see that store empty or anyone leaving unhappy. They seem to keep plenty of clients and making more...I KNOW I'M ONE! : ) THANKS HAKKY! more

I went here because I was referred by a few people who knew the gentlemen from going in themselves. They are regulars there and only have nice things to say, so I went in for myself, with shoes I was told by other places could not be fixed.left with BRAND NEW SHOES! They were gentlemen and I will be going back. From my understanding they have plenty of regulars that think they're great. I'm sure any customer reviews below, only had a bad experience because of their own attitudes, being that these gentlemen have enough business and are making plenty more, they do not deal with rude ones. They have been in business for over 20 years and it really shows they know what they're doing! more

This place is horrible. I brought two pair of leather riding boots in to have the calf stratched. When I picked them up, I took them home to try them. I should have tried them on in the store. They didn't even stretch them. I found the stuffing of the boot from when I purchased them still in the boot. I did however find a wooden show stretcher in the calf of one of the boots. The show stretchers is suppose to be for the actual shoe not the calf. If they didn't have the proper equipment to stretch the calves then they should have said they couldn't do it. I wasted $30. When I picked up the boots they guy ripped on the receipt of the ticket. I didn't think anything of it when I was there but now I get why he did it. I can't prove I paid for the service even though I have my bank statement. What a ripoff. more

I have to disagree with the other review on this site. These two are the best at what they do. They are not disrespectful or rude to their customers and they do high quality work when they are given the chance. These men have been in business for 20 some years now, so they obviously know a thing or two. When they are not with disagreeable clients, they are as calm and helpful as ever. This business operates with a rude climate, and is quick to jump on the defensive instead of hearing what the problem may be. I had an issue with some of their work on a pair of my shoes. After they had worked on my shoes, they squeeked so loudly that I could not wear them. He barely heard me out as I explained the problem, and rudely dismissd me using hand jestures. He initially said ""I don't know what's wrong with them, who did the work? I told him he had, and he remained defensive and rude with how he treated me saying ""well bring them back in and I'll look at them"" You would have had to be there. There is no way this guy or anyone else associated with this business will ever get any more business from me. I have tried this place on three different occassions because of the convenience to the mall, but on principle and self respect oh how he treats customers, I will drive where ever I must to spend my consumer dollars instead of giving them to a business who obviously thinks they are the only ones supplying that service. I have watched them with other customers while waiting and can see that they basically size the individuals up and treat them differently. Big men will not have a problem. I took a pair of $200.00 boots to them the first visit and when I got them back they were scuffed up and had to be buffed out. These were new boots. I take good care of my investments and will continue to look for a place that is not rough, dirty and rude to trust when making repairs to items I care about. I say don't make the same mistakes I did, three strikes are too many. Go some where else. Pros: Convenience Cons: dirty, rude more
