My family actually love to see a movie at this theater. It is very quaint and brings back the feel of the past. The Guthrie even has an old fashion marquee sign. The seats are new and the lobby is newly remodeled. What theater can you go to now-a-days and get fresh popped popcorn, right before your eyes!!! Ever week there is a new first run movie and the price of admission is very reasonable. Pros: Inexpensive, excellent ambience, one of a kind Cons: street parking more

Birds' eye view 6/18/2002

I actually lived above the Gurthrie Theatre for a time, which made catching a movie here convenient. This is the only movie theater in Grove City, so you have to take what you can get. The seats are old, rickety and a bit uncomfortable, but the restored lobby throws you back to a time when going to a movie was an artistic experience. It's too bad that good movies don't play here more often. more
