We cycled the Selkirk Loop in 6 days starting and ending at the guesthouse. Not only were the rooms very nice and clean, the breakfasts were hot and plentiful and very good. The management was friendly and cooperative. Not only allowing us to park our truck there while we were on the trip, but when it looked like we may not be able to be back to Sandpoint on the reserved date, they worked very hard to see if they could accomodate us on another day even though they were booked.Would gladly stay there again more

I recently stayed at the Guesthouse Lodge in Ponderay. I have to say I loved it. The room was quiet and clean, the beds comfortable and the log furniture was beautiful. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Great location, very close to Schweitzer Mt. and on the highway, which makes going places convenient! I would recommend this establishment to anyone. more

For a reasonable price, this standard hotel is clean and a short drive to Sandpoint the lake, winter time skiing kayaking, and beautiful hiking. more

I have staied at A LOT of hotels through the years and this hotel has been the BEST by far.\r The lobby was very welcoming, as was the front desk agent! Alisha went above and beyond! She was polite, kind, very attentive! She went up and got ice for me from their ice machine, gathered me more blankets and pilliows in under 3 minutes (I even timed her because she would be to my room with them in less than 5 minutes, and I have had front desk clerks say that before and it takes them around 15). She stied busy through out the night even had guests come in who hadn't had their reservations ""inputted"" into their computer but she moved things around so they would be next to each other. This girl is a keeper... if I had an employment oppertunity open for her I would have zipped her in my bag and taken her home. This hotel truly understands the meaning of hospitality and I will definately be staying here again if I am ever in the area. This hotel really is a place to stop and rest at, with a staff who will give you more than their motto of 110%. more

This hotel was the best priced hotel in the area and it was not bad. You get a microwave and a small fridge in the room. And a flat screen. It was cleaned well for the three days I stayed there. The room is not giant and they have a lot of big furniture in there which makes it seem a little smaller but the furniture is not your basic hotel furniture either. I thought it was nice.\r Basic breakfast but the coffee was hot and they had make your own waffles. The staff was really nice too. I will stay there again. more

We were very impressed with the hotel, very friendly staff and nice large room. We had stayed at another hotel in Sandpoint on our way to Canada, as we were unable to get into the GuestHouse Lodge due to a big soccer tournament week-end, and the rooms were so small that it was hard to move around. So were were so happy when we saw the room at GuestHouse Lodge. Great value, good breakfast and as I said very friendly staff. Next time I'm in Sandpoint this would be the place I would stay. more

After reading some reviews my husband and I decided to stay at this hotel for four days. The service and attention that we received for every need was exceptional. The room was not fancy, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was acceptable, again, nothing fancy, but clean and good. When we arrived I asked for two more pillows and for an extra luggage rack (one was already in the room). Within minutes we had both. Bed was very comfortable, staff above and beyond helpful and friendly. They were great at recommending places to eat and things to do in the area. We would have no problem staying here again. more

Stayed here for one of our last nights in the area before relocating a long ways away. At check-in it was great to see that the staff was very warm and receptive upon arrival, and quickly got us checked in to our room. Our room was very warm on arrival, and was very clean and crisp. I was excited to see that the Housekeeper that cleaned the room had left a note, welcoming any comments that we had on the cleanliness of the room. It was quiet while we were there. Unfortunately we were not prepared to use the hot tub, even though it looked relaxing and inviting...or even the warm lobby area with amazing leather furniture and a fireplace. Breakfast in the morning was great! more
