Grisanti's is fantastic all the way around! Every time I've visited I've experienced extradordinary service no matter how busy they are. We've been there when there were only a couple other groups and we've been there with a full house. The food has always been fabulous. You are initially served with a wonderful salad with a house vinagrette dressing with lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, olives and onions. With the salad, you receive their homemade bread that sits on a metal plate on top of a tea candle to keep it warm. By the way--when you run out, they will bring you more--of salad and bread! But don't fill up on those only--they're entrees are well worth saving the belly room! My husband and I have enjoyed many selections from their menu and have loved them all! From steak & chicken to seafood--they're all wonderful! Their menu has a fantastic selection for everyone. Then there's dessert. We don't usually order dessert when we go out to eat, But at Grisanti's we always take at least half of our meal to go so we have room for dessert! Their chocolate sopressa is FANTASTIC! Not sure what exactly it is, but it's decadent! Possibly a cookie crust with a fudgy type brownie layered next with an ooey, gooey, smooth chocolate on top. Served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate shavings. Can't go to Grisanti's without it! Another cool thing--one evening we visited and were lucky to have a great waitress who took the time to tell us that all of their food is homemade. Including their pasta. She also said she has never seen a more glistening kitchen. The floor itself is scrubbed several times a day! That makes going there even better! Also, the prices are very reasonable. I've never left their wanting more! We spend around $40-$50 for two of us, and that includes wine, our meal, and our dessert. So, with the fantastic service & great prices to the fabulous desserts--Grisanti's is my favorite restaurant in Omaha so far! I highly recommend it!
