Grey Forest City Hall

I have very fond memories of when I used to live in Grey Forest. I was in my early 30's, single, and loved sitting outside listening to the not so distance sounds of live music from Flores General Store--Willie Nelson, Tish Hinajos, to name a few. I miss cycling on those lovely hills and admiring rock houses, some dating back to the late 1800's. But, I especially loved the people. We were more a community of family than neighbors. I miss living there. And, whenever I'm in the area, Grey Forest is one stop I always make time for.\r more

I grew up in Grey Forest, and although I enjoy where I am living now, I still get homesick once in a while. The previous reviewer's comments are cruel and unfair. One of the beautiful things about Grey Forest is its unique and special community of people. And yes, thankfully there are some ""old timers"" in the mix - and that is because once people move in, they don't want to leave. It's that nice of a place, and you are very lucky if you have had a chance to live there. more

if you are 75 years old.\r This city has one of the oldest populations there, and despite the fact that they are located close to a university most of the population does not know how to read or write. I felt like was getting older by the second just by being there. These ""people"" (and I am being generous by calling these Neanderthals people) lack basic common courtesies. They interrupt you while you speak and when they do their breath smells like natural light and Velveeta. About 75% of the population is missing at least one tooth and 97% of people above 30 years of age have a third grade education. I know their city is all about nature but for God's sake take a shower. I can honestly say I'd rather live under a major highway than in that appalling mistake for a city. more
