The GSENM is passed by most visitors to Southern Utah, yet it shouldn't be. View natural rock formations and dinosaur foot prints, hike slot canyons, swim in the surounding rivers....SO much to do and very educational. Some areas require permits, yet lots of the areas are cheep or free. 4WD is highly recomended if going into the monument. If you aren't able to go into the monument at least drive HWY 12 and the Burr Trail out of Boulder. They are sights not to miss!!!
Pros: views, secluded, wild
Cons: , services
